LG Nexus 4

  • Summary: "Nexus 4 doesn't feel as good as I had imagined! I feel £400.00 is overpriced. It doesn't feel premium when held; it feels more like one drop; GONE! BREAKABLE! What the point of having a 'glass' body, but then have cover with cheap rubber back case? camera, music player, internet, speed: these all feel HALF BAKED! I felt I'd have to be evtremely careful using it , whill takes enjoyment factor away instantly!

Good phone has some flaws that can be worked around.

joedyck, CNET
27 July 2013
  • Summary: Good phone, but due to the glitches mentioned above, not as reliable as it should be. The bumper case buttons should be recessed so as not to trigger them so easily and airplane mode and power off should require a sliding motion or something to make it a little less easy to disable phone by accident. If putting in pocket, instant locking the screen will help but not prevent problems, it still can power off or go into airplane mode if the power button is bumped.
  • Pros: Powerful and versatile, this phone is very useful and is economical to use as it works well on Wi-Fi and keeps track of your data usage and apps data usage.
  • Cons: Buttons stick up too high, causing problems. Locking the screen doesn't protect you from inadvertently going into airplane mode or powering off. Make it harder to disable it? Camera Flash, contrast and focus could be better.

Good platform, not great...

bbneo2, CNET
4 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this phone in May of 2013 after owning an iPhone 3g and then an iPhone 4 for the previous 5 years or so. The iPhone 4 was getting too slow for some data apps that I rely on.
  • Pros: Fast. Cheap. Fairly stable.
  • Cons: Some unreliability with important basic phone function of bluetooth connectivity.

Very fragile glass case, needs protection

27 June 2013
  • Summary: Overall, phone function, look and feel are great. Just didn't expect the device to be so fragile -- back of case is thin glass and cracks extremely easily... google it, there are plenty of cases where people had their Nexus 4s cracked in the back at the slightest impact. I think that a protective case is required.

Not the best phone I have had but it does the job.

  • Summary: I have had my fair share of phones and the Nexus 4 is much like everything else. It doesn't necessarily stand out amongst the competition. While I enjoy using it on a daily bases its touch screen was clunky and I often find myself pulling my hair out deleting text. The phone is quick and responsive in its features but comparing it to its common competitors it seems like just another phone. Good at what it does but don't expect anything new.
