LG Lucid (Verizon Wireless)

CNET
4 June 2012
  • Summary: Though it's stuck on Gingerbread, the Lucid's great camera, snappy performance, and cheap price tag make it a solid choice for a budget 4G Android phone.
  • Cons: The Lucid comes equipped with way too much bloatware, and its speaker is subpar. Also, considering its release date, we're disappointed that it doesn't run on Ice Cream Sandwich.

LG Lucid (Verizon Wireless)

LAPTOP Magazine
5 April 2012
  • Summary: The LG Lucid packs a lot of good stuff into its small frame. For an affordable $79, consumers get a device with a bright and vivid display, solid 4G LTE speeds and features that make Android more approachable and fun for smartphone newbies. However, the HTC Rezound offers Beats-enhanced audio and a sharper 720p display for $49, making it the best deal right now on Verizon. Nevertheless, those who prefer something less bulky will find plenty to like in the LG Lucid.
  • Pros: Bright vivid Gorilla Glass display, Handy built-in gestures and lock screen shortcuts, Fast 4G LTE speeds, Affordable
  • Cons: Weak audio, Odd design element looks like a button but isn't

LG Lucid Review

Phone Arena
4 April 2012
  • Conclusion: A year ago, owning a Verizon 4G LTE smartphone meant having to fork over a load of moolah, such as the case with devices like the Samsung Droid Charge and LG Revolution when they were initially launched. Over time, as we’ve seen mostly in the last few months, there has been a transformation where devices became more affordable – and that’s the case we see here with the LG Lucid .
  • Pros: Affordable price, Attractive design, Still a high-spec’d smartphone
  • Cons: Lots of artifacting with its 1080p videos, Poor calling quality

LG Lucid

MobileTechReview.com
1 April 2012
  • Excerpt: Verizon Wireless' top Android LTE smartphones sell for $199 to $299, so you figure there's a catch when a phone costs on $79 on contract. In the case of the capable and very attractive LG Lucid, you actually get a very nice smartphone with serious style. The Lucid has a 4" IPS display that's very colorful, sharp and bright. It has a 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon CPU that's plenty fast and 4G LTE. So what's the catch?
  • Pros: Affordable, portable LTE smartphone.
  • Cons: 800 x 480 resolution isn't cutting edge, but for the price, we won't complain.
