Summary: When buying this phone I made a key mistake. I was amazing by the slow motion video recording, the 5 mp camera, the slim touch screen body, and all the other features it offered. I was betting that because the phone was a quad band phone it would pick up signals around my house. Unfortunately that was not the case and after a weeks usage I believe I had 1 bar for about 10 seconds. My other phone consistently has great coverage and never drops calls.
Summary: "Battery life is extremely flippant and erratic. Can sometimes last for 5 days, then run out every day, even when you maintain same level of usage. Camera software is awful, compresses images massively resulting in noise, artifacts, nowhere near even 3.2mp quality (pics come out better on old K800i). Firmware has been sorely needed for a year but LG don't provide any support whatsoever.
Summary: This phone is OK. It's a little frustrating that you can't configure the menus as much as I'm used to on other phones. It has email support for downloading email to your phone but does not support connections to secure email servers (it does connect to secure websites). If you use googlemail you can always download their application as a work around. The most annoying thing is the battery.
Summary: I have had my LG Viewty for a year now and unfortunately I bought it on a contract that I can't afford to get out of, or upgrade, so I've been more or less stuck with this phone for all this time. In short: this is the worst phone that I have ever owned. Sure, it has lots of great gadgets (if you like pointless gadgets, you will probably disagree with me on this review), it looks like an iPhone, it has some cool features.
Excerpt: Excellent Camera, dreadful phone. Very poor call quality and sound. Pictures are excellent. texting quite slow even when you get the hang of it. This is the second LG I have had with poor sound quality.
Excerpt: Having got really excited when this phone came out I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Sure, the features and camera are fantastic but the touch screen is nowhere near as responsive as the Prada phone to the point that it takes ages to type anything. The battery's also very misleading and will go from 3 bars to crtitical in the space of about an hour. Plus you don't get a memory card with it - how tight is that!
Summary: I know I'm in the minority here I am but I do not rate this phone Before I bang on about the negatives I will say a few positives The camera is great (especially if you have steady hands) The phone is light, not bulky and looks gorgeous (although you will have to regularly clean the lens which is always exposed) Bad points 1. Battery - try not to use your phone to make any long phone calls, the fancy LCD screen kills the battery.
