Excerpt: it is a piece of crap. can't do anything. Unable to sent a multimedia txt. battery didn't last.( I don't talk on the phone much.maybe 15 min a day) best thing is the camera. screen quality is another. thats it.
Pros: camera, display
Cons: can't change theme, sometimes turns self off., frozes, not loud enough
Summary: Got the phone today and so far so good. I was looking for a reasnobly priced upgrade from my nokia 6300, and this is great as i was mainly looking for a better camera (6300's 2mp was poor). The build quality of the phone seems great and it feels solid in your hand helped by the ruberiseed plastic on the back. I also liked the very welcome metal lens cover which is great for protecting the lens, making the phone feel more like a digi cam.
Pros: The great camera and the low price, plus solid feeling build!
Cons: not sure wether batetry will be long enough for me but i will wait and see
The only good thing about it was that it arrived !

Summary: The first problem was that the phone which arrived was the wrong colour, silver instead of black. As it was a present from someone who would have preferred black that was a little disappointing, but with no time to change it I decided that it would do. After just two weeks of use the sound began to fade.
LG 550 a mobile that is good for non-smartphone users
8 November 2012
Excerpt: I bought my LG KC550 from Tesco for £80 to replace a rather useless Nokia 2600 that I had bought only a matter of months before. That was three and a half years ago and it was only in early August of 2012 when I finally took the decision to buy my first smartphone - the Galaxy ACE although my LG has not been binned and is still available should I need my new phone develop a fault or screen break.
If you're not after an expensive smart phone, buy this instead!!

Excerpt: If I hadn't become so set on wanting to purchase an iphone, I would still be using this phone daily as it really is great! Cost I purchased this phone about 3 years ago from Tesco for £50 on offer. The Phone's Userpad I really did love this phone, and found it to be an excellent buy. The phone slides up, to reveal the number keypad. The numbers are written big which is handy and the letters beside it are also easy to read.
Excerpt: This phone looks smart and sexy, with a sleek simple design. The menus are appealing to the eye and have shortcuts i.e. you can press 5 on the keypad to access messages instead of selecting through the direction pad. The screen is of a reasonable size, and displays colours very well. The phone is also very loud, especially in outdoor mode and in my opinion the sound quality from such a small speaker is very good.
Pros: Cheap, Good looking, Sound quality is good
Cons: Poor quality build, photos leave a lot to be desired, laggy OS
Summary: I can honestly say this is one of the best handsets I`ve ever owned, and I`ve had a few. Has a heavy, quality feel to it, not plastic like a lot of modern slide phones. Haven`t found any annoying "quirky" things wrong, and let`s be honest, theres nearly always something that doesn`t quite work how you`d want it to. Previously had Nokia 5800 and LG cookie touch screens, and found they had plenty of issues.
Summary: This is a good phone if you want decent pictures and videos at a reasonable price. Probably would not take too much rough handling. Get a memory card too. Battery life reasonable. Lens cover is a plus. You can get better camera phones , but you will have to pay considerably more. This phone has saved the day for me when my digital camera battery went flat at a crucial moment. Easy transfer to computer, no need to install extra programmes if you do not want to.
