Excerpt: I was reluctant to switch from QWERTY-comfy Blackberry to a touch screen. I chose this phone because it was cheaper so if I hated the touch screen, I could switch back without wasting tons of money. I love this phone!! It's fun, convenient, and the touch screen isn't so bad! I'm sorry blackberry.... The only problem I've had is my camera settings...either it's not the best camera, or I don't know what settings to change to make the quality a bit better.
Excerpt: Last time many people talk about iPhone... Many people like this brand and they are ready to pay for it. Many other people like phones on Android operational system and they also ready to spend money using fashion brands like HTC and Samsung. I am one of those who likes free software. But I also one of those who willing to pay for the quality. I bought LG GT540 2 month ago and I spent about 199 dollars (even shipping was included in this price).
Excerpt: Since I really did not need a high-end phone but I do not want to be getting a compromised kind, I decided to buy a touch screen phone which is not much of a financial burden. LG is not so familiar with me except in home appliances.
Excerpt: I am one of the first buyers of LG Optimus GT 540. Being a smart phone freak, I was planning to get this phone after reading some of its reviews on internet. And, as expected I got it at the earliest. The phone has not disappointed me.
Summary: I have this phone as a backup, but its performance isn't the best. The android software is really old, the screen isn't touch sensitive, and the battery life lasts for probably half an hour if I didn't lock it once. The camera is actually doable. Some of the pre installed apps don't even work, like YouTube. I also download apps and they keep crashing. The audio when phoning people isn't very clear and sometimes my phone crashes and declines calls automatically.
Summary: I've had the phone for about 3 years now. It has been fantastic, Full of useful features, I am still amazed at its looks and performance. Just lost the charging plug socket cover, but after that length of time its entitled too. I have looked after it, always had a case and a screen cover as well.
Summary: First time user with an Android Phone and was quite amazed with all the features that came with this compact phone. With so many wifi Hotspots available the on-board wifi comes in very useful and can save you pounds when using a pay as you go sim. The on board GPS is also a good feature and with plenty of free Apps that make good use with the GPS. The phone is easy to use and easy to customise to your needs.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Easy To Use, Features/Settings, Quality
Summary: Everything was great about this phone; the music area was perfect, loved downloading apps from the store, could organise things in the calender and memos easily. This phone is great for anyone new to android or touchscreen. However there were a few problems. Firstly the Internet was really slow, the camera lacked quality and before my two year contract ended the touchscreen and buttons stopped working even though I've never actually dropped the phone.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Easy To Use, Features/Settings, android, music, organiser
Summary: the LG GT540 aims to give first time smartphone users the right balance of features in a friendly package. Well-rounded connectivity and good design, with just the right touch of extravagance, will certainly open doors. The LG GT540 is a reasonably sized handset, standing at 109 x 54.5 x 12.7 mm. It’s no big deal to comfortably find room for it in most pockets. It’s hardly too heavy.
