Summary: So I had the Connect a while back. I am now an iPhone user and it has been a couple of years since I have had it, but I wanted to write a review on it, which is something I just didn't get around to doing. Basically, I had Metro PCS for a few years, with them all being crappy phones. I was on Amazon one day and it was on sale for $300 something and decided it was time for me to have a a nice phone.
Summary: I love the phone but had to purchase the extended battery. I actually brought two, it does everything I need but the battery life is very short. without the extended battery the regular lasts a few hours maybe. its still a great phone.
Summary: ..not so great battery. :P dead after just 2hrs of usage, apps and all. The phone itself, however, is so keen, fast, and loaded with everything u need your phone to perform! Absolutely amazing... Just the battery is my problem!
Excerpt: I've had this phone since 1/15/12 I must say at first I was in love, Screen size 4G speed, 4gigs of internal memory the phone was a dream in the first 2 months, but the shut downs started, the phone would either shut down or reboot @ will, I thought this was a result of me rooting my phone, so I unrooted it and installed the firmware update to no avail.
Pros: Screen size, can be used as a blunt object, HDMI port
Cons: Battery, Slow Booting, Constant Reboot, phone locks up often
Summary: i had an LG connect for a couple of months. it was really buggy. it wouldn't remember the individual and group contact ringtones after i powered off-- it would randomly decide new ringtones. totally annoying and defeats the whole purpose of having different ringtones. when i was using a bluetooth, the google voice dialer only worked through the phone, not through the bluetooth, even though the dialer said that the bluetooth was on.
Summary: I have this phone exactly one week today, after switching from Tmobile-which I've been with for years & my last phone was a HTC MyTouch. The connect is sleek, fast & the screen is amazing. However I do not think that the great qualities out-numbered the bad. The most annoying thing is that the battery finishes like every hour.I am not running any more apps than what I did on my HTC. The bluetooth, wifi & gps satellites are all off to save the battery but it doesn't help.
Excerpt: I loved this phone and it ran great after the root and removal of the bloatware. I never had issues until recently my PRL, phone number and all of my account information started disappearing off of my phone. After help from the Android forums, I fixed it last month. Only to have it happen again. Think long and hard before you buy this phone. It has been a nightmare.
Pros: ok call quality, front facing camera, great 4g speeds
Summary: I purchased the extended battery for my metro esteem because I would charge it all nite and it would die in 5 hours, even wen I just let it sit and didnt use it. The extended battery does add time to my phone battery life, but only a couple hrs. I read everyone else that owns one is satisfied with the battery life. I have heard of going to Metro headquarters and upgrading it for free n it should fix the major problems.... Anyone else have this problem?
Pros: love playing my music on it and love the apps. The camera is excellent!
