Excerpt: My husband and I decided to downgrade after having a black berry and a black jack to save some on our phone bill. We live in a rural area so we not only have our phones through verizon but also an aircard, and this gets very expensive very quick. We were paying enough each month to make a payment on a new car.
Excerpt: I got this phone a year ago. Recently traded it for a smart phone. It was great for awhile, then I spent months with it shutting down on its own. Progressively getting worse, until I couldnt keep it turned on for more than a half hour. It was nothing I did wrong on my part. Verizon tried fixing it by rubbing an eraser acorss the contacts and upgrading software - this did not help at all. I tried many internet searches for a solution. Tried many suggestions that...
Excerpt: I purchased this phone over a year ago and I can't wait until it's time to get an upgrade. Ever since I had this phone, it's given me all sorts of problems. The first phone (yes, the one I currently have is a replacement) would shut off on it's own. I missed many important phone calls because I thought my phone was on and later found out that it had turned itself off. Also when I did receive my phone calls, there would be times when my calls were dropped. I also...
Summary: The worst phone ever. I have changed this phone twice. The first time was because the phone software needed updates and the phone was turning off and on on it's own, the phone was changing passwords on it's own and lock it self. the phone was not sending my voice over to make calls and it was not sending my voice over when i answered calls. The second time, it was, because the keys on the phone were not working.
Summary: So, my wife got this phone today and I discovered that many of the key features -- the 3.2 megapixel camera, MicroSD chip and USB connection are mostly worthless because we can't use it to do what we want to do, namely to transfer photos and data to the PC.
So this $400 phone is apparently fatally crippled.
Summary: Have had this phone for 5 months. Have received 2 replacements in this time because it continues to power down by itself. Have been to the store several times and have been told it requires a software update. Less than hour after getting miraculous update we have the same problem with the phone shutting down for no reason.
Excerpt: Battery does not last long- 1-2 hours of talk time if it is almost a year old. Charger was a complete disaster- Second env3, both had charging issues, and one of the charging pieces inside the phone CAME-OUT on teh connector itself. Charger errors- Phone says that you are using the wrong phone cord that came WITH the phone. Camera- Removed an important zoom feature. Video- Can't record flowing water, puddles, or anything not box-like or pixelated already.
Summary: At first I loved this phone. It makes texting easy. I could even handle one phone sporadically turning off and having to get a replacement. However, phone #2 had the exact same problem. It turns out that whenever I applied pressure to the back of the phone it would turn off... same as phone #1. I did a little research and found out I'm certainly not the only one having this problem.
