LG Enlighten Written Review by Sydney

phonedog.com
17 November 2011
  • Summary: So, here we are, back to our original question. We all want or need to save money wherever we can. Some choose to buy a less expensive phone in an effort to keep a few extra dollars. In the case of the LG Enlighten, is it worth it to do this? Typically, I say 'yes', mostly because there are some mid-range devices that will exceed your expectations for what an inexpensive smartphone can do.
  • Pros: Decent processor performance; good 3G speeds; latest version of Android.
  • Cons: Bad keyboard design; terrible camera performance; I'm personally not a fan of LG's custom UI.

  • Summary: Despite its low specs, the LG Enlighten provides a nice, cheap option for basic users who want an Android device, or who want to be able to give their teens a smartphone that's also a solid messaging device. Just watch out for the expensive data plans. A nice, cheap Android phone that provides basic needs at an equally basic price.
  • Pros: Inexpensive, Good battery life
  • Cons: Data plan makes a "low end" smartphone still expensive

LG Enlighten Review

Phone Arena
14 October 2011
  • Conclusion: When it comes to selecting a low-priced Android smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard for Verizon, your options are pretty limited. For the $79.99 that the LG Enlighten is currently selling for, it does offer all of this, but you have to make do with the lower resolution display, slower processor, and a camera that isn’t a show-stopper. But the Enlighten does offer good call quality and reception, and having a physical keyboard is always a nice touch.
  • Pros: Good price, Call quality & reception, Android Gingerbread
  • Cons: Small display, Poor camera quality, Homescreen lag
