Summary: I bought this phone to use with SimpleMobile and it works. It is faster than my unsupported Droid X on their network and it wasn't too hard setting it up to run on their mobile network either. I did have to hunt down the drivers online to install on my computer so I could transfer music and such onto the phone, but once I did that, no problems. I wanted a real keyboard and I haven't had too many problems getting used to the split keyboard design.
Summary: Nice phone. Purchased for my daughter. The phone was recieved via UPS very quickly and the packaging all in tact. It is well built. Heavy, but we like that. Android 2.3. The problem with was it was on the charger for a few hours and wasn't charging. I turned off the phone and turned it on again. This seemed to rectify the problem. My daughter loves it.
Summary: Both myself and my GF are on simple mobile. Stuck the sim card in, and was blazing along at 4G speeds. It's fast, and simple to use. If you are on simple mobile and looking for a great, cheap 4G phone. Get this phone.. Ok here is the but... The "programming instructions" from simple mobile's site says to delete the apn from T-Mobile and enter in their stuff. The apn from T-Mobile cannot be removed. This is why I have my doubts it's unlocked.
Summary: I purchased the phone for my 16 year old son. He really likes the way the keyboard is made and the different functions. He has a problem with certain things concerning it shutting down at times though on its own and a few other issues I'm not sure of. I purchased the w3arranty for it so we'll be sending it in to be looked at. It is a nice phone, but nothing is perfect.
Summary: This phone is okay; i don't have any complaints. The battery life seems to be pretty good. I purchased this phone because my husband's blackberry went out and i didn't want to renew my contract with t-mobile and i wanted something i could complete multiple tasks with. My sister loved it so much she even bought her one. The only thing that's missing is a front facing camera.
Summary: It's reasonably quick. Occasionally, it will hesitate, but that's not very common, and the pause is fairly short, unlike my older Android phone (T-Mobile Comet) which would lock up for several seconds at a time. It is a bit on the large and heavy side, but that's due to the 2nd display and keyboard. I have had it for about a month or so, and find that I don't really use the 2nd display much, if at all. Maybe I need to explore its uses a bit more.
Excerpt: I have had the LG DoublePlay Smartphone for about a year. The only negative thing that I can say about this phone is that sometimes it freezes up. I don't know did my phone have a virus or what but after I got another one of the same product I haven't had any issues with it. It has two screens, one is big and it have a small screen when you slide the phone out. That's my favorite part about this phone. Whoever came up with that idea he or she made a good choice.
