SPARTEN "SPARTEN", Amazon
19 January 2013
Summary: I WANT TO START BY WRITING, I WISH AMAZON WOULD PLACE MOST RECENT REVIEWS BEFORE STARS, I DON'T CARE ABOUT A REVIEW FROM 2 YEARS AGO. I DECIDED TO TRY THIS PHONE SINCE I WANTED TO USE A TOUCH SCREEN BUT DID NOT NEED ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES OF TRADITIONAL SMART PHONE AND CERTAINLY DID NOT NEED A DATA PACKAGE.
The LG Dare is definitely not the phone for texters

Excerpt: Last May I got the LG Dare when my two year contract was up. I saw the commercials for the telephone and thought that it looked cool; it was all touch screen which is the type of phone that is "in" right now. I eventually came to realize I was wrong. Since I've had this phone, I've had nothing but problems with it. First, I had to go take my phone back in August because my camera would not work.
Excerpt: very disappointed with the short battery life. i even bought a new battery b'c i though i had fried it with no help. it wont even last overnight after a full charge without being dead as a dodo in the morning.
The LG Dare is a terrible touch screen phone, you can't text.

Excerpt: I bouth the Dare for myself and one of my sons when we started a contract with Verizon. It had good reveiws, and since I was finally getting an upgraded phone, I thought I do with one of the best. Boy was I wrong. The touch screen isn't sensitive to your fingers, and I can't even text, because it constantly put up the wrong letter. I usually end up calling the person because it takes so long to text. the touch screen qwerty deyboard is useless.
Excerpt: When I first got this phone I loved it. I enjoyed the touch screen and the fact that I could use the internet from my phone and listen to music. It felt high tech and new. I shortly realized that the touch screen was not reliable and when the touch doesnt work there are no more options. There are only three keys and those dont allow you to use your phone very easily. I believe I went through about three of these phones before switching.
Excerpt: I bought the LG Dare from Verizon. I had been wanting a touch phone for a while and this looked like a quality phone. I found it easier to type than some of the other touch phones. It takes some getting used to, but there is a slight space between the letters which helps. After a little over a year, the phone stopped charging in an AC adapter or a car charger. The only way it would charge is through a computer, but it would only charge to 3 bars at max.
Pros: I have had my LG Dare for about two years now. My first one I smashed in the back door of the minivan but that's all on me there. I really have nothing good to say about it compared to other phones in its class.
Cons: Phone's/battery moisture sticker turned pink from leaving it on my picnic table in October (Virginia) for 30 minutes. Phone freezes up a lot. The browser sucks! Total garbage. My Nook has a better operating system. LIMITED INTERNET!
Excerpt: This phone has been great until all of the sudden. Suddenly, the phones end send and clear button have been unresponsive. The clear button does not work. I have to take the battery out at least 2 to 7 times a day so the buttons will work again. It locks itself in the middle of texts and when i hit the camera button on the side it goes to my recent calls!
