New phone lasted about a week. Old phone lasted about 4 yrs. not happy.....

Summary: 1st phone was decent and the lasted about 4 years. Then the touch screen stopped working. So time to buy a new one. New one turned off and never came back on after one week. Really unhappy about this. Really questioning build quality of new phone.
Summary: Our daughter purchased this simply for the touch screen and no data plan required. She liked everything but the fact that you can't stream you text message conversations and the lack of phone covers available that actually fit it. Now the phone turns off for no reason and the screen keeps freezing. The seller offered to replace the battery but we've had so many issues with it. We are returning it instead.
Summary: Everyhthing about this phone is good. The most important thing about this phone is the reception, and that is not good at all lose calls all the time. Must find another phone! I had an accolade flip phone that never lost reception, thought I would upgrade to a more modern phone and that doesn't work. I don't use internet so I guess the flip would be more sensible for me.
The LG Dare is definitely not the phone for texters

Excerpt: Last May I got the LG Dare when my two year contract was up. I saw the commercials for the telephone and thought that it looked cool; it was all touch screen which is the type of phone that is "in" right now. I eventually came to realize I was wrong. Since I've had this phone, I've had nothing but problems with it. First, I had to go take my phone back in August because my camera would not work.
Excerpt: very disappointed with the short battery life. i even bought a new battery b'c i though i had fried it with no help. it wont even last overnight after a full charge without being dead as a dodo in the morning.
The LG Dare is a terrible touch screen phone, you can't text.

Excerpt: I bouth the Dare for myself and one of my sons when we started a contract with Verizon. It had good reveiws, and since I was finally getting an upgraded phone, I thought I do with one of the best. Boy was I wrong. The touch screen isn't sensitive to your fingers, and I can't even text, because it constantly put up the wrong letter. I usually end up calling the person because it takes so long to text. the touch screen qwerty deyboard is useless. We (mysond and I)...
Excerpt: When I first got this phone I loved it. I enjoyed the touch screen and the fact that I could use the internet from my phone and listen to music. It felt high tech and new. I shortly realized that the touch screen was not reliable and when the touch doesnt work there are no more options. There are only three keys and those dont allow you to use your phone very easily. I believe I went through about three of these phones before switching.
Excerpt: I bought the LG Dare from Verizon. I had been wanting a touch phone for a while and this looked like a quality phone. I found it easier to type than some of the other touch phones. It takes some getting used to, but there is a slight space between the letters which helps. After a little over a year, the phone stopped charging in an AC adapter or a car charger. The only way it would charge is through a computer, but it would only charge to 3 bars at max.
