Excerpt: I've had this phone for about a year and a half, and although it's loaded with some decent functionality, if you basically want it to perform as a phone--and be able to hear it--you may be in for a disappointment. My chief complaint, and it's a biggie, is the sound quality--voices are muffled, at best, in regular mode, and if you want to use the speaker (not in bluetooth mode) the louder you make it, (so you can hear it in a car for example), the more the sound quality...
Excerpt: I mainly got this phone because I needed a new one and it is purple and semi-sparkly. It does text messages, it has an alarm, it has bluetooth which I only use to transfer ring tones I've created in Audacity to my phone. It has THE MOST ANNOYING BUTTON on the side, I'm always accidentally pushing it and then get asked, "Would you like to initiate Push to Talk? Charges will Apply." No, I don't want Push to Talk! Stupid Button! The pre-loaded backgrounds are lame.
Excerpt: My lg 515 Rev.1.0 is an exceptional phone. You can use your organizer to set alarms, check your calender, and other options. It has a pretty good camera and video recorder. It is one of the best phones that i have owned. You can also download ringtones and games off the internet with this phone. I personally like the bluetooth capability of this phone.
Excerpt: Service is truly dependent upon where you live. If you don't live in an area with 3G coverage then choose another device. However, if you do have 3G coverage then this is an average phone but nothing uber exciting. The screen is a bit hard to see when you're outside and mine has a chip out of the hinge making it hard to close but that could be from me constantly putting it in my back pocket.
Excerpt: No longer have mine as it broke a few days ago, but it lasted a good two and a half years and I absolutely loved it. It might not have as many features as some of the newer models LG has come out with, but if you're looking for something that can do talk, text, pictures, and video adequately then this is it. Video feature actually isn't bad at all, gives you a good 40 secs to record, and the camera has a useful zoom option.
Pros: good design for practicality, camcorder capability, good standby time, charges fast, reliable talk and text features, SIM card compatible
Cons: discontinued by AT&T, ringtone choices lacking, some buttons placed inconveniently, not particularly stylish
Summary: I had one like it before, phone is so durable, my last one got dropped so many times and kept on working. It got to hanging on one hinge and screen and all was still working. Its slender design makes it easy to go any where. It takes great pictures and can download just about anything, sound is above average. The only thing I dislike is the back won't stay on, have to use black electrical tape to keep it in place.
Summary: I bought this phone because my latest phone was this model and it broke in half. The only way I could get my contacts onto my sim card was to buy the same phone and transfer the info that way. The phone is ok, it doesn't turn off properly, and when I take flights the battery drains almost completely because of this. I also receive weird text messages from companies asking if I want to keep receiving info from them??
Summary: I bought this to replace an old Motorola v551 with battery issues. I liked the design and it seemed a bit more solid than the RAZR. I liked the large screen on the flip side, the large, easy to read keypad, and the slim feel in my hand. I also saw the battery life was rated well for talk and standby time. The speakerphone has an excellent volume. Though it has a large color screen on the inside, the text is too small with no option for enlarging it.
Excerpt: After waiting and reviewing several phones for 4 months and waiting for this one to come out i got disappointed. I had 4 lgs before .They were always good before.I am porting my service from verizon. The phone has a problem when putting someone on hold while getting another call and when toggling between calls the phone freezes and crashes. I got 3 cu515 and all had the same problem I ended up getting the samsung 737 instead. no problems so far.
