Summary: Hi and sorry for late reply. Please note that i'm having a problem with my incoming calls and messages received. When I received a message, I didn’t get the name of the person appear even though I have recorded his name in my phone. Only his phone number that appears and I don’t know who has sent the message. So I noticed that when I put the country code +230 (Mauritius) before each number, then the name appears when a message receives.
Summary: With this phone does not perform software updates. After connecting and enter the number of writes that number is not correct. The phone is probably not original LG. Touch screen does not work perfectly. Sometimes you need to touch several times. Otherwise, do not know much yet because the phone is a gift for Christmas and the operation will be after Christmas.
Summary: It is an excellent cell phone, this has a lot of aplications, it has wi fi reason that makes this a good cell. But there is a thing that I dont like, the batterie charge just serves for maximum 24 hours, some times even 12 it depends of use, this is a thing that make that this cell dont be the best
Excerpt: Great if it was as slick and usable as the advert but it isnt. Most annoying thing is that it is very slow the interface runs fine(on newer firmware versions) but the Java speed is abismal, its like watching a slideshow. S-Class interface is alright, but that cube is a waste of space, texting is fine but to slow, Youtube finally works over wi-fi FINALLY! DivX support is basic requirement only. Camera is rubbish at night, crashes randomly it seems when exiting apps.
Pros: Asthetics, Screen resolution, Features
Cons: Slow performance, Bad camera at night, Buggy software, Bad LG customer support, Pretty much the whole phone.
Excerpt: I got this phone in August, and have probably only used it for three weeks in total - the rest of the time it has been in for repair. I only upgraded to it as I liked my LG Viewty. My Viewty has been invaluable as my back-up while the Arena has been sent back and forth. It crashes all the time, loses information, and generally can't cope with simple usage. Am now trying to get out of my contract and start afresh somewhere else with a better phone. Fingers crossed!
Pros: Good camera, Enjoys spending time back at the phone shop, Looks nice, Nice shape
Cons: Cannot turn phone to view a picture sideways - the screen tilts automatically, Difficult to make telephone calls as your skin/face touches the screen and hangs up, Sending a text is very long-winded, finding the contact etc, Freezes at the most annoying moment, Forgets its own memory
Summary: Music player is not great! From a long list of music files it is difficult to get to those down the alphabet list e.g r -unlike the iPhone where you can easily bypass files by tapping near r. The search function only works for some files! I still cant find the GPS function. Does anyone know how to get around these problems?
Summary: You can buy an new unlocked Arena on eBay for £200 - £250, in the shops usually just shy of £400. Had mine over a week now and here are my early impressions. The spec list is impressive, it seems to have absolutely everything on it. But, it's not really that custumisable. What comes out of the box is pretty much what you're stuck with, unlike a Windows Mobile or an iPhone. At first it is an incredibly annoying device to use.
