  • Summary: Since this is my first Android phone, I am not the best person to review this phone. Maybe if I had something to compare it with, but anyway here goes. Loved the keyboard and the screen quality. Hated battery life and memory until I rooted the phone. This phone has to be one of the reasons that rooting is so popular. Now I can store what I need not what Verizon gives me. The phone is still short of memory compared to the new phones but it is good enough for me so far.

  • Summary: I bought this phone as a first phone for my 9 year old daughter and she loves the ease on using it. She got it because her sister has the same phone and loves it. I also use the same phone and have not had any issues with it, and love the fact it has the Qwerty slide keyboard and emoticons already loaded! For the price it is the right phone. I do know it does not get the best reception when away from certain towers, but as a local usage phone it can't be beat!

  • Summary: Don't trust the zip code checker for useable location...It is WACKED. Works in 33647, 33540, and 10156 area codes' but the computer doesn't know it. Grt phone if u love sliders...distorts ur voice to person u call which can make it difficult for them to understand u.This has nothing to do with location. good pictures. i've dropped this phone hundreds of times and it still works grt.

  • Excerpt: This phone isn't really anything special. There were a lot of problems when i first got it but then after setting everything the way I wanted to it seemed to work better. However, it's still just a 3G smartphone and pretty slow but it's ok.

LG Ally is great for the price

  • Excerpt: I purchased the LG Ally approximatley 6 months ago. I wanted a touch screen, was impressed with the DROID technology. I liked that I could easily surf the net, use facebook and it had a ton of applications. with my old phone you had to exit out of the internet browser completely to answer a text message. You can easily switch between applications with the Ally. I love the apps! There are some great ones, including Pandora and Kindle for FREE! Thats right!

Love my LG Ally

  • Excerpt: This is the first time I've owned a smartphone, and I'm really happy thus far with the Ally, with a few exceptions. I love that it has a full browswer and a QWERTY keyboard. These were my top two "must-haves" when I was picking a new phone. I also like that there are so many free app options in the app store. I love that it can be linked to my Google and Facebook accounts, so that I can import contacts and have basically a "networking center" in my pocket.

love the ally

  • Excerpt: I really like the LG ally. I was hesitant about getting a touch screen, but after buying this one my feelings changed. I like the fact it has a keyboard that slides down because the keypad on the screen is too small. One thing I don't like is that it doesn't have flash player so online surfing is limited. The android apps market has plenty of variety to keep me busy with whatever random nonsense I want to mess with.

LG Ally--the best budget-conscious Android phone you can buy.

  • Excerpt: I really can't say how much I love this phone (there are some nitpicky reasons why it doesn't get a full 5 stars, but this is really a 4.5 star review). After shopping around for an Android last year, I really didn't feel like plopping down $300 on a phone with a battery that was going to die after less than a day of use (like the HTC Incredible or Motorola Droid 2). I was able to get the LG Ally for significantly cheaper, and have been very happy with it ever since.
