Summary: Bought this for my daughter because it was designed to her liking. Mp3 player was a biggie. The phone works great, very durable and volume gets pretty loud. The Tracfone aspect of this phone was the problem. It took them sending 2 replacement phones and 3 replacement SIM cards to get it working. The LG500 is a nice phone but I'll never use Tracfone for service again.
Summary: Lost my phone and this really put me back in business. Keyboard is small but even with my poor vision I can use it quite easily. Still have much to learn on the features but am so very happy with my purchase that I bought another identical phone for my husband. Nice little phone with good reception. Most cell phones don't even pick up calls at my home but this one does.
Summary: I have been with Net10 for over 10 years, using various phones during that time (probably 5+ different models), and this is the FIRST time I have been able to transfer my current phone # to the new phone without calling customer service and waiting approx. 2 hrs. Probably has nothing to do with this phone, maybe just an improvement in the activation process at Net10.
Summary: I got rid of my Blackberry, because I didn't need all of the features of a smartphone. I still really like hardware QWERTY keyboards, though, so the LG 500G seemed like the perfect fit. It works fine for the most part, but I get the feeling that it has little tricks built in to eat up as many minutes as possible.
Love LG's! Mine isn't Black, but PINK! Would recommend to anyone.

Summary: Absolutely love my new phone!!! I purchased this phone because it was an LG and it was pink. It's is easy to find in my purse. Also I believe that originally it donated money to Breast Cancer Research! I would probably have rated it 5/5 all the way, but had to get a new SIMs card and just started using it. And using it with TracFone it came with double minutes for life. Minutes are expensive for Tracfone and having them doubled feels better.
Summary: For the price, this is a decent option if you want a hard keyboard on your phone, for texting and e-mail. However, there are a lot of problems with this phone that keep me from giving this a recommendation. PROS It's a cheap, functional phone for calling and texting, although texting is very slow. While, of course, it's not an iPhone, it will do a couple of other things, like play MP3's. The call quality is OK, but there's not a lot of built-in calling features.
