Summary: I wanted a water proof phone but, didnt find the xperia Z3 worth the 600.00 installment plan on Tmobile. The Z3 front camera was horrible and, it didnt feel comfortable in my hand. I dont like glass rear or backs on phones so, i decided to try the hydrolife. Good featured phone with decent customizability options. Not a lot of extra apps from the manufacture like Sony and samsung would have.
Great phone with great features for the price, but a couple major issues......

Summary: Got this on Cyber Monday for $50, to replace my Samsung Victory (Ran out of internal memory for Apps). Great price for all the newest features. Worked very well, liked the screen format and it was working adequately fast on 4G. Had no problems hearing calls. But the battery did not last long enough for me (although I listen to podcast/music using Bluetooth headset a lot) and no extended use battery available.
Summary: It was a pain in the rear to activate and get the latest 150 system files updated. The entire process took over an hour and a half!! Camera- Rear is average at best. Poor quality with low light. Extremely crappy with the front camera. Display quality- not too bad. Viewing angle is not good. Phone call quality- very good. Speaker quality- very good. Virgin Mobile LTE connection speed- Very slow. Less than 3 MBS download. Always less than 1 MB upload.

Summary: The Kyocera Hydro Icon is a good waterproof phone for Boost Mobile customers with MUCH more internal memory for storing apps and games than other Boost phones in its price range. It has a nice 4.5 inch screen and music sounds great with good headphones. The "direct contact" sound system uses the phone's screen as a speaker. Press the screen firmly against your ear, and you can hear clearly even in noisy locations.
Summary: The Kyocera Hydro Life is a good waterproof phone. The T-Mobile version is locked to T-Mobile and the MetroPcs version is locked to MetroPcs. T-Mobile stores often sell it at a large discount, and MetroPcs stores often sell it for a goofy low price. It is the best waterproof phone in its price range, but it has some weaknesses and bugs. The Hydro Life is about the same size as the new Apple iPhone 6, except the Life is thicker due to its waterproof design.

Summary: Before this phone I had to Samsung Galaxy Rush, it was garbage. One week after getting the Hydro Icon I dropped it from maybe 3 ft and parts of the screen wouldnt register finger movement anymore. So I got another one, kept the old ones battery to swap when the new one drains. The 2 main problems Ive been having are the the camera app fails to launch very frequently for apps like snapchat or whatever other ones.
