Buyer Beware!

hopecardiovascular, CNET
5 March 2014
  • Summary: Stay away. Stay away. Stay away. This is by far the worst phone or electronic device I have ever used. The phone discontinued working after two weeks. After the phone was returned to Kyocera for 7 weeks, the customer service and technical support team still had no idea of what was happening or when the repairs would be completed.
  • Pros: Novel idea for a large screen smart phone in a small package
  • Cons: Battery is very poor. Touchscreen does not work effectively. Kyocera customer support is terrible.

  • Summary: I like the dual screens, I wish the battery would last longer. Very easy to use, but it isn't the most user friendly. over all it could be a good phone. time will tell.

ECHO- AM I THE ONLY ONE?

narn3049, CNET
20 July 2012
  • Summary: I got the first phone (I had 2) in July of 2011. I used it around a week before both screens suddenly were garbled like. I took it back to Sprint, where they replaced it for me for free under warranty with the next phone. This phone barely fell I'd say 2 feet and the second screen on the right just plain went out. It didn't respond to touch or anything. Please tell me im not the only one to have these types of issues.

  • Summary: It needed a master re set and when i had it down the phone crashed. The Sprint center warned me that they have had the problem many times in the past. So basically I baught a DUD. I couldnt fault the seller bc I couldnt prove they knew about this issue. I left it alone and just ate the money that I spent for the phone.

  • Summary: Don't buy. One big headache after another. I'm stcuk with getting refurbished units noiw and they all suck like the ones out of the box. Sprint won;t move me to a better brand of phone so I am stuck without service and a piece of crap to shpow for it. Sprint and Kyocera don't respond to my requests for help.. Both companies are worthless Don't Buy!!!
  • Pros: Can't find one pro yet in 4 phones. piece of crap
  • Cons: contant lock up requiring battery removal to reboot. Many, many times a day. Camera locks up on use. remove battery. text box, won't let you type a message. no good. in phone use creates lockup, remove battery to end call. locks up when looking at it

  • Summary: Worst mistake had a perfectly working Epic phone and decided to switch to a "cooler" phone now I cant wait to get rid of it!
  • Pros: Multitasking I guess
  • Cons: always hanging up calls, force shutdowns when you need to press a number option during a call it locks the screen so it makes it so fustrating. I have already takeng it to sprint store to have it fixed, it still didnt work nor did the replacement.
