Not a reliable radio.

  • Summary: Workers who had an i576 previously, hate this phone. Unfortunately, it is the only durable option for construction. Some workers will skip the radio and only use the phone for better voice recognition. As mentioned, the phone looks good and the phone quality is good. But the radio gets an "F".
  • Pros: Good Size. Durable. The phone is the Sprint network as opposed to the iden phone network.
  • Cons: There is not one good thing about the radio. Radio is not user friendly. At times the radio is distorted beyond recognition. Radio times out to quick on incoming calls. AT times the radio is unable to connect to other users.

Kyocera DuraMax User Reviews

  • Excerpt: I have only had it a few days and the phone itself seems sturdy. Camera is ok. It plays movies converted to 3gp and playback is not bad. Sound on mp3's are good. The display is small but it is crisp and clear. Physical buttons on phone feel good. The direct connect does work but it is not the same. The sound quality is not as good. I have had nextel for a long time and it is not the same. Also the coverage is not the same.
  • Cons: sprint direct connect is not comparable to nextel direct connect, coverage is not the same and the sound quality is not very good
