  • Summary: After a month of two the phone screen will just stop and go black for no reason, you must take battery out for a minute and put it back in and turn on phone and it will be fine. Sometimes is says texts are sending 0/0 meaning not sending at all and you just have to cancel and retry till it works.

Good sturdy phone, weak DC. Motorola its not.

  • Summary: History list gives you DC history only. You have to select options to get Phone history also. Web browsing is frustrating and not easy on the eyes. Needs to be better than a Motorola phone and it only is sometimes with added frustration. I had this phone longer than I should have, hoping it was me, went back to my Brute.
  • Pros: Phone works good. Big buttons.
  • Cons: DC is slow to connect, seems to have trouble connecting. Chirp is LOUD. Volume could be louder. Speaker has distortion. Mouth to mic distance is an experiment. Seems to be geared to DC users. See summary.

Direct connect useless... Duracor was a little better

tmstriad, CNET

  • Summary: We had two of these phones sent to us to replace our field techs i576 work phones. Generally, we agree with the above review that all works decent, but if you need to use the direct connect (DC) forget it. The speaker distorts the voice far too much. If you're in a quiet room you can normally piece together what's being said but that's not typical jobsite conditions. Sounds like a rag is held over the mic and speaker muffling the sound.
  • Pros: guys didn't mind phone features
  • Cons: Speaker and mic are poor - hard to understand DC conversations
