The K jam is a great pda phone, plenty of features.

  • Excerpt: I found that the imate k jam was a fantastic pda phone, with plenty of features. I used this phone as a student and found that having microsoft word on my phone was especially usefull and saved me carrying around my laptop when on the train home etc. The mini sd slot was a bit of a pain as my previous phones had either used micro sd or I could use the micro sd card with an adapter (as is the case with many mobiles/ pda's), also it can only hold a card up to 2gb which is...
  • Pros: pkenty of features and slide out keyboard
  • Cons: mini sd slot instead of micro sd or sd

An excellent pice of kit packed with very useful goodies, but a few niggles with processor speed & headphones

  • Summary: I have the T-mobile version of this item called MDA Vario but it's exactly the same product. The main reason why I had bought this nice piece of kit was that i got fed up of carrying around 2 pieces of hardware (i had a IPaq as well as a mobile phone). I must admit I was initially concerned that it would be too large and bulky. But in actual fact, it is only slightly thicker than my PDA.

  • Excerpt: I've run this phone on a Vodafone contract for just over a year now. Previously, I'd had an SPV, which was great, but a little fiddly for many of the smartphone features. The K-JAM resolves every issue that I ever had with the SPV, and provides more functionality that I didn't know I wanted. The first thing to grab your attention will be the slide-out keyboard. This is guaranteed to impress everyone when they see it, and it is as good as it looks.
  • Pros: Slide - out keyboard, touch - screen, Windows Mobile 5
  • Cons: No 3G, slightly lacking in power

Top Notch and simple to use

  • Summary: I bought my K-Jam after upgrading my Palm to an HP iPAQ which I just couldn't get on with. I ditched the iPAQ after a month of annoyance and frustration and the K-Jam has been an absolute godsend. More functionality than a Palm, less unnecessary clicks and menus than the iPAQ. It's proven a top notch user friendly PDA & Phone - with a heap of handy windows mobile, MP3 and camera functionality.

Jam Packed!

  • Excerpt: This has got to be one of the best Mobile Phones/Pocket PC's on the market. A small sleek device packed with features. The Design is sleek and small 108 x 58 x 24mm. It's one of the smallest pocket PC phones on the market. Weighing in at just 160g it's nearly one of the lightest too. It does feel a little thick and heavy in your pants pocket and is best to carry in the case on a belt. The casing is silver plastic which allows for it to be so light.
  • Pros: One ultra portable device
  • Cons: Battery Life

I-Mate K-JAM - Good, but a few minor problems

thehooded, Ciao
2 May 2006
  • Excerpt: The I-Mate K-JAM is also known as the O2 XDA Mini-S. It has a slide-out keyboard which is a very innovative space saver in the design. The Windows Mobile Edition operating system makes the advanced user feel very at home with the Windows XP style design. However, the bluetooth program is very difficult to use since it has no simple connect button.
  • Pros: Wireless Networking, Bluetooth, IrDA
  • Cons: Poor Bluetooth Program, Small Screen
