Summary: I bought the i-mate K-JAM in Mar 2006. With Office Mobile and wireless it was the best phone and computer in the market and I absolutely dothed on it. However in November 2006 the phone would not charge and the socket on the phone where the charger fits had come loose. Nevertheless it has a supposedly 24 month warranty and when I went to the repair shop, they promptly accused me of manhandling the phone and that this may be treated as a non warranty claim.
Summary: This phone may have some serious casing issues and a design fault. My 10 month old kjam stopped working and I was sent a 326GBP estimate, stating 'liquid damage'. The phone has never been near water and the technician admitted that environmental changes can cause oxidation inside. Imate were not interested in this and refused to repair it under warranty, so if I get it fixed, which I won't, it would end up being an 800GBP phone.
Summary: I bought this item as a replacement for my Palm Treo 650 and it doesn't come close. It crashes and freezes nearly every time I go to use it, the memory is really small, syncing takes forever or doesn't work at all. You can see the folder list for your emails (looked impressive in the shop) but when you actually try to sync it nothing appears - apparently your folder emails do not sync but I was not told this.
Summary: Bought one 3 months ago as a replacement for my P910i - I should not have done it! Crashes 3-4 times per day, getting flimsy after only 3 months use, stylus won't hold in stylus slot anymore, battery won't last more than about 5 hours if you're running bluetooth even if you don't make any calls. I bought a second battery but you can't by a cradle that will charge both the phone and the second battery simultaneously.
