Horrible.

doctordred904, Ebay
11 April 2012
  • Summary: This phone is horrible. You can access the internet easily but the touch screen is waaaay too sensitive, it's so slow, it constantly screws up texts, the battery life dies after a few hours even when you do NOTHING on it, and I would NOT reccomend it.

"It's a Mini Huawei Ascend with a better camera."

wyrmcrusher, CNET
17 January 2012
  • Pros: Contrary to popular belief, Metro PCS DOES have 3G service, it's just limited, but has been expanding recently. I rooted mine and have been able to get the processor to run at 650 mhz and got rid of the bloatware, so it runs faster than normal.
  • Cons: SLOW! If you root it, it runs faster, but you run the risk of ruining the phone (like that's really possible). The Metro bloatware takes up half of what little memory is on the device(it only registers 167 mb), not much space for apps. TINY screen.

It's a Mini Huawei Ascend with a better camera.

wyrmcrusher, CNET
17 January 2012
  • Summary: If you like the Ascend, you'll like the M835 except for the screen.

"Right sized, but doesn't work well."

d-be, CNET
21 December 2011
  • Pros: Nice small size is the right size for me. If I want a big screen I'll use my laptop. At $59.99 it is really cheap, but I would gladly pay 5 times the price if it actually worked right 100% of the time.
  • Cons: This phone locks up, the touch screen often does not respond and it is difficult to view in direct sunlight. Batter life is a disaster; this phone cannot last a day without a charge if I really use it. Also it doesn't do flash.

Nicholai_Madias, CNET
3 September 2011
  • Pros: The phone looks good until you try using it.
  • Cons: This phone is so slow it freezes every time I try opening my contact list, call log, settings, gmail or anything else. Downloading watchdog did not help because the android operating system uses up all of the memory so it will freeze even if you don't ru

smilyReilly, CNET

  • Pros: its cheap.
  • Cons: There is honestly not enough room here to write how much I detest this phone so I'll make it as brief as possible. I had to change phone company to save some money and thought going with metro was a good Idea.. and I should of read the reviews on this e

"Created by a BAD circus clown? It's a bad joke!"

iminlivonia, CNET
28 August 2011
  • Pros: Hmmm... well... I guess, well.... I'll have to get back with you on the pros.
  • Cons: I've had nothing but problems with this phone. The home key is too close to the keypad, so if you have big fingers like me, and you hit the home key instead of the space... your long text message is obiterated completely. I have to caharge the battery a
