Pros: 9 home screens let you customize your phone how you like it. The phone was good for the total price I paid of $116 brand new from the store. It's a good Android phone for people that have never used one before, like myself.
Cons: Runs Android 2.1 while newer phones are running 2.3. Noticeable lag while using apps, messaging, and internet browsing. Not a good phone for serious smart phone buyers.
Pros: Real easy root for: -Barnacle Wifi (hot spot) -SetCPU (though it's slow with a 600mhz, I slow it down more when i have to so my batter lasts all day. Maybe it's just because I'm in a good area, but I don't have call reception problems.
Cons: -It is sloooowwww. -No type of gaming. -Have to sometimes reboot the phone if it can't pick up an internet signal -Old android 2.1 -2.5 jack -Low sound speaker -Camera sucks unless super bright outside
Pros: Its an Android phone that's affordable. Call quality seems decent and you have most of Android's features. You can easily share pictures on Facebook directly from your gallery (my aunt's Iphone does not have this awesome feature).
Cons: The 2.5 mm headphone jack is a pain, requires an adapter which is easy to lose. The actual volume on the phone & through the headphone jack is very low. Battery life is HORRIBLE when on vacation or away from chargers, it drains extremely quickly.
Excerpt: I bought it in June or July of 2011. It was my first Android, smartphone, touchscreen. I previously had a Blackberry Curve 8330. It was awesome when I had 2.1, but when I upgraded to 2.2 (Froyo), I instantly saw lagging and problems. Its not a bad phone but it could be better.
Excerpt: I am amazed at the good reviews this phone has gotten on here. This is the worst phone I ever owned. The timeout feature on the screen works when it feels like. If I forget to check it, it kills the battery that much faster. Speaking of the battery, lets take today for example. I took my Assend off the charger at 7am. It is 10:45 am and the battery is almos dead. I did not make one call. I ever turn off applications that are running that I do not use.
Pros: I bought my Ascend a week ago and overall its a great deal on cricket. I love the huge screen, and the 9 different screens for apps.
Cons: The phone is extremely slow, It can't handle multiple apps at one time, response time is terrible, some times taking 3 or more sec to fire up an app. it sucks there a 2.5mm headphone jack that keeps you from using your own plugs. no netflix support eith
