HTC 8900 without a camera

K. MAHMOUD, Amazon
  • Summary: This phone is actually HTC 8900 which does not have front neither a rear camera. The description on amazon is not clear enough whether the shown model is 8900 or 8925 as the 8900 model is without a rear camera. I would have given the AT&T Tilt five stars if the description was clear. I replaced my old Nokia 9300 phone with this one so camera is not that important for me, but maybe camera is essential to others.

Looks pretty, but not that functional

pretermit, Viewpoints
9 September 2012
  • Excerpt: I love the look of this phone.  I love sliding the perfect, little keyboard out.  I love that I can tilt the screen to sit at an angle in front of me like a tiny little laptop.  However, I've had some problems with this phone.  I had to use the lock out feature, otherwise I was constantly calling people from my contact list accidently and nearly initiating expensive services that I didn't want.

User Review

Usang Wiliams, Cnet.co.uk

  • Summary: when it comes to connecting to the world, this product is quite efficient.. except in cases of my type;my flex is bad and i cannot get a replacement to it because i can't find it around...and another thing it aches my heart that such product with a 3 megapixel camera does not come with a flash for night viewing. well, all the i still love the phone!
  • Pros: the product is nice especially for some of us who cannot get our fingers off the keyboard.
  • Cons: the flex is quite delicate and deficult to get a spare one..

Needs Work!

Huff and Stuff, Amazon
6 May 2008
  • Summary: This phone is very good in some aspects but then lets itself down badly in others. As with all Windows driven items it benefits from being re-started occasionally - something most people don't do with their phone. Choosing it for the right reasons seems to be critical if this phone is to please you. I wanted a quad band phone that would synchronise well with my email server and act as a temporary laptop when I am abroad to save me carrying all that weight.

Good functionality but terrible HTC support

D.N.Wijewardane, Amazon
11 February 2008
  • Summary: The TyTN II is a phone with great functionality which for the most part (by far) pleases me, performance included (minor quibbles). It runs most applications pretty well, though more processing power would be even more desirable since this can do alot. Hence my 4*. However, the singular lack of proper video drivers (which render its camera/video poorly in practical terms [for a 3MP machine]) and the incredible stupidity of HTC in not addressing this singular issue (and...

Know what you are buying

S. Reid "Milhouse-Vanhouten", Amazon
31 January 2008
  • Summary: Rating 3 of 5 Pros: Solidly built, GPS, 3MP camera, tiltable screen, lots memory, SDHC compliant. Cons: Overwhelmed CPU for most operations, GPS is slow, pricey. PROS: This phone is solidly built and works well. It has many more abilities than an iphone. Plenty of communication and data-streaming possibilities, and the tiltable screen makes tabletop use very simple.

Great idea - not as great as you might hope in reality

Mr. Jm Bird "sucker_jack", Amazon
29 November 2007
  • Summary: Not a great deal to add on the previous review. I personally haven't used the keyboard for a month or so now. The sound quality isn't great and it's bulky. Every now and then I have to remove and replace the batery to get it to restart again. Maybe I'll try the similar model without the keyboard next. htc itself is good.

Uso, gosto, mas também passo raiva.

ALAINJOHN-AS, MercadoLibre
17 May 2013
  • Summary: Custo/beneficio que agrada, mas somente para quem trabalha, usuário normal passa raiva um pouquinho, pois, pode acha-lo lento apesar dos seus 400Mhz que por sinal é muito bom para esse tipo de sistema(WM).
