HTC TouchPro is lifeline to the world, but battery runs out fast
9 September 2012
Excerpt: I couldn't live without my phone, and I can say that because it is such a great phone, packed with features and conveniences. you will use it all the time and for everything, if the battery doesn't run out, that is. and it does. often. frustrating. Use the GPS, and one short trip later you'll be out of juice.
Excerpt: The HTC Touch Pro is a touchscreen Windows Mobile Phone with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard. I'm sure most of us have seen the AT&T commercials for the HTC Fuze (guy who fixes up cars flips through pictures, types out some emails, etc). Contrary to the commercial, it is not an AT&T exclusive, and this is the Sprint version of the phone. The phone does everything most people could possibly want and more.
Cool Phone, lots of features but requires a special plan
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The phone contains a significant amount of features. However, to use some of these features like GPS, Sprint TV, etc you must make sure the plan you choose covers it or it could cost you more later. The one bad thing I would have to say about this and many PDA/Smartphones is that the battery life is much shorter than a regular phone. Also, the actual life of the battery is definately shorter also.
Excerpt: The HTC touch pro smartphone is my first smart phone. I've never used iphone or others so can't compare. What drew me to the phone was the resolution - it is fantastic. And since I have taken some AMAZING photos on the phone which you wouldn't believe are phone photos! I like the weather options and the display for it - especially when it rains, the windshield goes across. Text message ofcourse is fine. Like how you can save contacts and add pictures for each.
Versatile and very useful, but battery life is terrible
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The phone is indispensable for the number of options and features it packs. Which makes it a device you want to use all the time and for everything on the go. Unfortunately the battery just does not support that kind of usage, unless you have a charging port available at all times. frustrating. For example, Sprint includes free turn by turn directions on their GPS program. But if I'm using that, one 20 min trip in traffic and the battery is already going.
Excerpt: I love this phone! It has a nice size screen, tons of features, and has lots of practical uses. You can use the browser on the phone menu, or use a fully supported browser like internet explorer. I'm able to listen to music, watch TV, get email updates, check the weather, and lots more. Now I know you can do these on most cell phones now, but the organization and quality is superb.
Excerpt: This phone has a lot of great features. The biggest ones for me were the full (QWERTY) slide-out keyboard, video-out (only with a cable that is sold separately), micro-SD slot for expandable memory, WiFi, VGA (480x640 resolution) screen, and more. The phone itself has wonderful capabilities. I have the Sprint version, which is pretty and sleek (though you may want to get a cover to protect it).
Excerpt: Before I begin my assessment of this design, I bought it used and the person before me did stuff to the device like "flash" the software and other stuff that I didn't like before he "restored" it back to "factory defaults". At the time, the device was a very beautiful glossy black design. Reception and call quality has always been great to me, never had a dropped call. Internet usage would've been great, IF the device wasn't so D**N slow!
Pros: Innovative, At The Time, Awesome QWERTY Keyboard, TouchFlo 3D Design
Cons: BLOODY SLOW Processor, Circular D-Pad, SUCKED, Learn To Hard Reset, ALL THE TIME
