About
20 March 2015
  • Summary: Plenty of smartphones claim to be the perfect for business users. But few can match the business-friendly features found on the HTC Touch Pro2. This Windows Mobile-based phone, which is available in an unlocked version and a subsidized model , packs in plenty of software, some unique business-centric calling features, and a stellar display.

HTC Touch Pro2 Review

mobility.com.ng
31 July 2010
  • Conclusion: Do I like the Touch Pro2? Like crazy! It has all my needs checked – and very well too. The integrated package that delivers a powerful desktop-like web, email and office experience without making me paranoid about battery life has me sold. I think I’ll keep this one over the N900.

Battery Life on the HTC Touch Pro2

mobility.com.ng
26 July 2010
  • Excerpt: Back in May, I published my review of the N900′s battery life . While an awesome device, the N900 has been somewhat crippled by the smaller capacity battery (1320 mAh) that Nokia fitted it with. It is passable, but somewhere along the line, it will get to you. In my extreme test, the N900 shut down after two hours. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to see how well the HTC Touch Pro2 with its 1500 mAh would do. I left home at 6.45a.m.

Nokia N900 versus HTC Touch Pro2

mobility.com.ng
24 July 2010
  • Excerpt: I just got my hands on a HTC Touch Pro2, a device that is very much like the Nokia N900. Of course, the logical thing was to do a face-off between the two mobile computers. Summary Right off the bat - On the other hand – Your Choice? If you were presented with an opportunity to own either of the devices, looking at the table and summary of advantages above, which of them will be your choice?

  • Summary: When the HTC Touch Pro2 initially became available, it was one of the best business-class smartphones on the market. Fast-forward to today, and we've seen quite a few new phones hit the market since the Touch Pro2 was released. Despite the availability of competing phones, however, the case could be made that the Touch Pro2 is still a worthy contender in the smartphone space.
  • Pros: QWERTY keyboard, Availability of tweaked ROMs, Sharp, spacious touchscreen, Excellent call quality, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, HTC Sense
  • Cons: Not as speedy as some of today's latest phones, Larger form factor than some of today's phones, So-so camera

HTC Touch Pro2 (Sprint)

PC Magazine
12 December 2009
  • Conclusion: The HTC Touch Pro2 is the Cadillac Escalade of smartphones: huge, with almost every feature you can think of. Even better, Sprint's version fixes many of the T-Mobile version's flaws.
  • Pros: Roomy keyboard. Great screen. World phone. Very good media player. Lots of included software. Gorgeous new address book, calendar, dialer, and home screen applications.
  • Cons: Windows Mobile 6.1 is still pretty old. GPS had trouble locking in. Push e-mail kills the battery.

HTC Touch Pro2 (T-Mobile)

PC Magazine
12 December 2009
  • Conclusion: The HTC Touch Pro2 is a terrific business communicator, even if it falls short in media playback and has a somewhat inconsistent interface.
  • Pros: Solid build. Good call quality. Great calling features. Gorgeous new address book, calendar, dialer, and home screen applications.
  • Cons: If you dig too far down, it's Windows Mobile 6.1. Using headphones requires embarrassing dongle. Jerky video playback.
