Excerpt: I had this phone for a little over a year. I had problems early on with the phone becoming non-responsive and windows screen freezes. I wanted to be able to use voice dialing but it's unrealiable. This phone seems to have a mind of it's own. It frequently turns programs on by itself draining the battery. It occasionally makes calls at random. The phone is clunky and uncomfortable in the hand.
Excerpt: This was my first smartphone. When I got the HTC Touch Diamond I was excited because I liked the screen. But that's where the love ended. It was extremely touch sensitive, so I kept hanging up on everyone by sitting my phone down. I couldn't get used to texting on a touch screen keyboard. It never dialed the right numbers because the touch screen was so sensitive. The voice prompt would come on at random times and it wouldn't turn off.
Excerpt: I bought this phone back in September of 2006. I was excited to get a PDA and I was more excited when I found out that this phone offered WiFi (that is why I went with it instead of paying for the extra service with a Blackberry). I went on different websites and saw that, for the most part, it got good reviews.
Summary: Likes: Its a small unit that looks very cool with a decent screen size. It can be used as prepaid through alternative cell companies. Dislikes: Everything on this phone is Extreamly SLOW out of the box and it has a battery life that borders on offensive. Speed: Its incredibly slow. From bootup, to switching between programs, to recieving a call, to texting.
Summary: I bought this phone in England about 3 months ago, and it is by far one of the worst cellular phones in this world. I had to switch it immediately with a palm centro and it is my favorite phone by far. So to sum this up, if you had to choose between getting this phone or going to prison, then I'd choose prison. You'd have a much better time there then you would ever with the HTC Diamond phone.
