HTC has wowed us recently with top of the line offerings such as the and , and smartphones are penetrating the consumer market at impressive rates.  The reality is that not everyone can afford these high-end devices though, and HTC has the little guy in mind with its update to the .  It features many of the things we loved from the Diamond, including a small form factor, responsive touchscreen and a plethora of connectivity options.  It may not be as pretty or Read more

HTC Touch Cruise will find quite a number of fans, offering a load of features matched by compact size and stand-out styling. Besides, the touchscreen experience is only second to Apple iPhone, which is a good enough premise for some serious market success. The well performing GPS receiver and the good battery life will also attract users who like to travel a lot. Read more

HTC makes some of the most beautiful PDAs in the world, but they're also some of the most expensive. The company's new Touch Cruise rivals the Apple iPhone in terms of sleek design and touch screen utility, but its high price tag places it firmly out of the reach of many potential buyers. Read more

Overall a well-rounded device that suffers from only a few setbacks. Look past these however and you’ll find the Touch Cruise intuitive to use and quite well stacked in terms of features. It’s not too shabby on the performance front either. Read more

    • Interface looks great and is intuitive to use, quick performer, good battery life, control wheel works well.

So what’s the bottom line? Surprisingly, the Touch Cruise doesn’t have any bells and whistles and functionality-wise is in one line with the HTC Touch 3G, which is a no-frills communicator as well. Now I want to get back to what this preview started with – many people expect HTC to churn out top-notch phones, such as the Touch Diamond and HD, one after another. And in this sense, there is no limit to where the demands of this portion of their audience can go. Read more

Even though HTC's new TouchFLO 3D devices are starting to ship, its still worth looking at devices like Touch Cruise, with its AF camera, HSDPA data, and built-in GPS. Our UK man, Russell, puts the phone through its paces for us in this in-depth review. Read more

Features The HSDPA is welcome as are the Wi-Fi, GPS and FM radio, but it is niggling that mains power and audio have to share the same mini USB socket. Performance We found nothing intrinsically wrong with this smartphone, but it just doesn’t have the buzz that some others can offer. Battery Life Battery life is slightly above average, although you can really go to town depleting it with all the power-hungry features that are here. Read more

  1. Extremely slow graphics performance

This devices graphics performance is terrible. Scrolling through city maps displayed by GPS navigation software is very slow, but I wouldn't call in unusable. Scrolling through web-pages is so slow that I don't consider web-browsing a usable feature. If you exclusively access websites that are optimized for handheld devices (i.e. don't require extensive scrolling) then it is bearable. Read more

I replaced my HTC Touch with this product. It is a great improvement. I am using it on AT&T's 3G network. I added TomTom Navigator 6 GPS software for US and Canada, that added $100 to the price of the unit, however it works as well as my friend's $500 TomTom GPS unit. I have a TV software installed that works really well on the 3G network. I have used the phone in Europe with no problems. Read more

I have had this phone for one year. The only issue I had was the Micro SD slot would not keep Mirco SD in. It was defective. I sent it into HTC for repairs under warranty. I had to pay $20 because I had Touch Cruise who originated outside of the US. I bought it from a US company that said they were HTC authorized dealer. I write this after using this phone for three years now. Honestly, it has a lot of features such as the Touch Cruise, which is a very handy and comfortable feature of this model, comparing to other PDAs of its time. I like HTC but with this model there are 3 major downers that easily overcome my HTC bias. 1- CPU speed is SLOW! Read more
