Excerpt: The previous smartphone which I had before One V was Wildfire. I paid 220 euros for it, after two years i decided to upgrade to One V, for which I also paid 220 euros. Truth to be said I was more satisfied with Wildfire than i am with my one V now. Although they both tend to lag awfully, One V has a lot more software bugs. Maybe because my phone use pattern has also changed a bit, maybe thats why.
Excerpt: It has software issues in it. It lags with some apps particularly with the messages app. It takes ages to load the contents and to open a message I need to clear the RAM. Apps like Google+ and Facebook crash very frequently. A very good phone for calling, browsing the web (it has a very good stock browser), checking emails. But it just can't perform very well with games. My overall experience is good.
Excerpt: At 1st the phone was awesome, but later it lags like anything. LOADING time for a msg will irritate u & CAMERA is not good as they sat, it below avg, BATTERY its not that bad when compared, STORAGE they should improve their storage.
Summary: This is a great phone, but freezes at times and for some strange reason, it doesnt read my memory card sometimes and restarts on its own a few times. In the future, i would buy a phone of the same brand, but maybe an upgraded version.
Summary: US Residents, AT&T users, specifically..... The specific phone I received had these problems below. However, the phone itself is a cool phone, it would've been awesome if it actually worked. 3 stars because the phone is great, but the issues are... Items not disclosed in the description about this phone: This is a CANADIAN phone, no option for standard US measurements, no option for USA English and DOES NOT work on AT&T or T-MOBILE.
Excerpt: HTC One V is a nice phone with good battery life and camera but it hangs a lot. Phone started hanging within 15 days of buying. I can't do my most of the things because of hanging problem of the phone.
Excerpt: Android apps like SticknFind or Ardrone don't work on it, voice dial is a nightmare can recognize the difference between names even totally different sounding ones . reception poor, where my old Motorola would have 3 bars and the HTC only one, crashes often.
Excerpt: If you're looking for a very basic phone with next to no social networking or gaming, this is it. It performs the basic tasks just fine. But the moment anything else is running in the background, it's unusable. The fact that it is sold with an overly outdated version of Android and HTC has said they will not be updating it just doesn't make sense.
