Excerpt: Ive been through 3 of these now. The first one people couldnt hear my after a few months of use. Not only couldnt they hear me but all they hear is static. Then Verizon sent me a refurb HTC and as soon as I activated it and got all my apps back I noticed the volume key didnt work. So they sent me another refurb. 5 months later now I have the same problem as the first time. Now I get to get another refurb. I am ready for my contract to end and switch to a Samsung device.
Excerpt: I like my htc one but I'm on my second phone. first one the speakers went out and I had it exchanged for a new one through square trade . second one the mic went out sent it in to htc for repair. I'll see how long it lasts now.
Excerpt: i'm on my fifth one now, within six months. i loved the phone at first, great camera; great sound, and very easy to use. it feels solid and looks very good. but oh my god i have never owned such an unreliable phone in my life. i'm a loyal HTC customer, i love their phones; but not this one. my iphone lasted longer than this thing. it's the same issue over, and over, and over, and over again. either the camera won't start, or it won't focus.
Summary: It's just plain SLOW. It has all the things all the other smart phones have, but it can only do ONE of them at a time. If you have anything running in the background, like a pedometer, or even the music player, anything else is nearly impossible.
Pros: Camera: decent, ease of use: not bad, voice quality: ok, as long as you have the volume up
Cons: Can't perform more than one function at a time without both suffering. Takes forever to sync, you have to dig to figure out how to change options on everything
Excerpt: This phone is just about the worst phone I have ever owned. If I click onto the contacts it can take up to 15 mins to load. Again if someone sends me a message it can take 15 mins to load. If I take a photo it is usually over exposed. It often loses contact with wifi even if I am sitting next to my modem. My previous phone was a HTC wildfire not as powerful as the HTC one but a far better phone. My Simcard is now back in my old phone and works very well.
Excerpt: I love everything about this phone except for one thing. One huge, important thing. the big reason I got this phone is music. I always have music playing somehow. I have never had a phone with so many problems with that. HTC sync manager is the worst program I have ever had to deal with, and when it is working nicely, my phone refuses to connect to my computer via usb. Huge problem.
