Summary: This is good, not brilliant, but really excellent particularly if you are new to the whole genre of smart phones. I'm however very angry that the price went up 40% from when I bought it from amazon for £99.99. The independent retailers in the marketplace now charge £140 which is absolutely ridiculous. For £99.99 you get a very good deal, but I don't think it's worth this new rip off price.
Conclusion: One of my dream mobiles the htc explorer. This smart phone comes with an android 2.3 ginger bread operating system which is one of the best operating system nowadays and is available in most of the phones but the factor that makes it stand better than other is the brand name i.e " htc " one of the trusted companies in India. The thing that makes this smart phone more smarter is the capacitive touch screen and a very stylish look of full touch without any keypad.
Summary: I originally wanted the HTC Wildfire but had issues with the 02 website so I wanted to buy it here but it was way more expensive so I decided to buy The Explorer instead and I LOVE it! Its so easy to use, I thought that I would hate touchscreen but its so awesome! Its like a mini computer LOL I went from a standard qwerty nokia phone to this and I'm so glad I made the change! Its sim free so it can be used in any country with any network sim card.
Summary: This was billed as a good entry level smartphone, and as a complete dingbat with anything more technical than a pencil eraser, I would tend to agree. I have big hands and am a bit clumsy but I have made great inroads into how to work this and have even figured out how to do emails and have also found the map and gps function really useful. Currently entertaining myself by giving everyone their own ringtone... little things please little minds!
Summary: I'd bought this phone as a replacement for my wife's ageing HTC Diamond which was becoming unreliable. I'm very pleased with the Explorer, it's a good performer and works very well. The display is clear and bright and the touchscreen works very well. I've not had any problems with any applications from the Play Store that we have installed and have used the phone as a sat-nav with Sygic navigation.
Summary: This is a good phone. For beginners who will only want a couple of apps, it is absolutely great the way it is. Great build quality, HTC's decent Sense interface for Android, access to the Play Store (i.e. Android Market), decent specs for the price. For more advanced users who want more apps, you'll notice very quickly there isn't much space for storing said apps.
Summary: For less than £100, the phone is brilliant. Again, Amazon delivery was speedy (2 days) on free super saver option. The touch screen is very responsive and does everything you want at a budjet price. I have the more expensive HTC Desire and, yes, it is not up to that quality, but that is more than double the price. For an everyday cheaper phone this is ideal and the wife loves it. Has good HTC upgraded sense version 3.5, which I prefer when compared to my older desire.
