Summary: This phone does what I needed it to do- call and text. Don't even try to get on Facebook with this phone. It's way too slow. Also, "onemobile" advertises this as a new phone. Obviously it isn't. Dust where the battery should be and scratches on the back of the phone. It's not a huge deal but should be correctly advertised. All in all, you get what you pay for.
Excerpt: I have the HTC Droid Eris phone and I hate it. It is not a very good phone. At first it works fine, but after downloading applications and using it, it starts to slow down, freeze up, and turn off automatically. A lot of applications you can get on other Droid phones will not work on the Eris. My favorite application game, "Angry Birds" will not run well at all on this phone.
Excerpt: When I first got this phone I feel in love. I loved the android software and the price compared to the Droid incredible was a bonus. About three months later I started to have software issues. The screen seemed like it was going crazy. Opening apps by itself. Turning on and off. It was possessed! I was under warrenty so Verizon replaced it Three months later my replacement did it again. Three months later that replacement had the same issues!!!
If you're looking for a good phone than don't buy Droid Eris

Excerpt: My husband and my mother bought the Droid Eris when I bought my Droid Motorola and they have had continuous problems. The touch buttons do not do what they are supposed to do, they frequently have calls placed that they don't intend to make, and it seems to be slow to respond to tasks. There was a universal upgrade for users to download a few weeks ago and that didn't help at all.
This HTC Droid Eris is way below what a smartphone should be.

Excerpt: I have owned the HTC Droid Eris for about a year, and I cannot WAIT for my next upgrade. I have hated this phone since the first month I purchased it. It is very slow, and has a very small phone memory for storage. This smartphone does not have the option of putting many things on the SD card to store - so my card is basically useless. This smartphone is ridiculously finicky - it shuts itself down all the time.
Excerpt: The droid eris when i first bought it was a good phone at first but, later on it got sluggish. The reason the phone got sluggish was the 256 megabyte of ram the phone was using and on top of that since apps can not be installed to the sd card i was only able to install about a maximum of 24 apps on my phone. The phones batter life is extremely horrible and bad. I was only able to last about seven hours with the phone on full charge.
Excerpt: I've had the Droid Eris now for 15 months now and by means is not anywhere near the top of the line droid phone. Even when I purchased it 15 months ago, it was still surpassed by the "Droid". It uses an old processer that runs extremely slow. If you try to play games like Angry birds on it, you will be frustrated in how much it lags because of the advertisements. It made me stop playing even though how addicting Angry birds is.
Cons: It takes 6 hours to charge, and stays charged for maybe 5 hours. It's constantly crashing/ freezing. The messaging always freezes.. A lot of times the on-screen keyboard lets me type but the words don't show up.
Pros: Android platform integrates phone and email Many apps available
Cons: -Phone slow to respond, even 1 month after initial purchase -After dialing phone freezes until I tap unit up to 10sec -Screen Freezes up with Internet -Incoming/outgoing calls cannot be heard unless on speaker phone -Randomly starts apps
