Summary: Phone is great. Battery suck! Capital S. Service is OK. Not great, calls lag, text message lag no such thing is instance with virgin service. Data? Unlimited sometime web pages sometime loading too Long. Videos without wifi forget about it. I have not a day that I can use YouTube for more then 10 minutes. Full bars on data and LTE speed! I have full reception where I'm at. Did not go over 2gb on any given month of service.
Summary: This phone is decent, but I just bought it 2 weeks ago and the screen is constantly shutting off at random times, and I have to constantly take out to fix this problem! It has happened to many times! I say enough, I'm getting an iPhone!
Summary: There have been major, service impacting issues in my area for over 30 days. VM has provided 4 different dates for resolution, can’t tell me exactly what’s going on, and there are still major service issues like no incoming call ring or vibration. They said I won’t have to pay for time the service was out. Gee, that’s generous. I’m guess then if you shoplift from their store, all they would want is the merchandise back, no penalty.
Excerpt: Pros: The pros it has good call quality, sound, speaker phone, never had any problems with dropped calls or anything of the sort. It has very decent battery life, too. Music is good.Cons: Everything else. Terrible keyboard, camera, proximity sensor that turns off screen, cheeking the 'end' button mid call. It seems very slow compared to phones that came out merely one to two months later.
Excerpt: this is the worst phone I have ever had. only 4 months of usage and I am reselling it. I am going to loss 200$ in this resell. if you use calendar, GPS and internet browsing alot. then this phone is not for you. at first I was impressed with the UI but then the functionality made the difference. the calendar is a nightmare if you want to add new appointments with details "like address". and the battery gets empty in less than 2 hours of internet browsing or GPS usage.
Pros: Web browsing. auto arrange after zoom in, HTC sence make everything just one click away.
Cons: BATTERY IS Horrible. using GPS empty the battery in less than 2 hours. So if your visiting a new city you will need separate GPS or you will be lost with a dead cell phone. and won't be able to call anyone for help., no offline maps. so if you got lost in a place with no network coverage you will be completely lost. "no maps and no phone". so what's the point of GPS if I can't use it in places that I don't know., you can't buy apps from android market in some countrie...
Summary: Hi, HTC Desire is a best of the best, except it has so many software issue, including camera pics keep disappearing and so many other users are facing the same issue but no explanation from HTC due its open source, think before u buy. i am also in tension spent $545 and this is what i ma getting a tension.
Summary: Had the phone for two weeks now and have run into a few problems. One minor problem was the language setting. The phone came from Amazon with settings for english but only from Asian countries (Vietnam, Malaysia, Pakistan etc...). No U.S. or British english settings. I found a video on YouTube on how to fix this but it involved downloading files and resetting the phone. A major pain! Not something I should of had to deal with right after taking it out of the box.
Excerpt: The main problem with this phone is the ridiculous omission in respect of a noise cancelling microphone. The result is there is a significant hiss when you speak. Voice clarity is surely the key feature on a phone, nevermind the bells and whistles. The screen is however very good and the system generally works well, although I had an issue with emails being notified on their arrival.
Pros: Screen and smooth performance.
Cons: Dreadful background noise, battery life. Email issues
