The HTC Desire S is a 4.53" x 0.46" x 2.35"/4.59oz smartphone that sports a 3.7-inch touch screen with 480 x 800 resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz/768 RAM processor and supports a 1.1 GB internal phone memory with expandability via a microSD™ memory card (SD 2.0 compatible), 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and standard micro-USB (5-pin micro-USB 2.0). The HTC Desire S is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery (1450 mAh) that provides users with up to 435 minutes (WCDMA)/590 minutes (GSM) of talk time and up to 455 hours (WCDMA)/430 hours (GSM) of standby time.

The HTC Desire S also supports GPRS up to 114 kbps downloading, EDGE up to 560 kbps downloading speed; Wi-Fi® IEEE 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth® 2.1 with FTP/OPP for file transfer, A2DP for wireless stereo headsets and PBAP for phonebook access from the car kit. The HTC Desire S features an all-in-one camera and HD video recorder to capture and replay moments in life, and supports face-to-face conversations via its front facing VGA camera.
