Summary: i bought this phone for productivity purposes. but it will not work at all now. i had the phone for about a month and the phone started to just restart, the its battery would not last over 2 hours even of off in my pocket. not a good phone for anything.
Summary: Bought this from Verizon in July as first smartphone for college student. Had every problem described in poor reviews: sim card error, no service (data or voice), shuts itself off, can't send text messages, don't receive text messages, can't connect to backup assistant. Did hard reset, changed sim card, nothing helped.
"Waited a year to review, worst phone I've had to date."

Pros: Sleek looking Light weight Easy to use
Cons: Often drops calls due to SIM card errors Won't send texts when SIM errors occur (frequent) Turns off by itself frequently Easily breakable Buttons too flush, hard to use (cases can rectify this problem)
Summary: When I first got my 8X, I was very, VERY impressed by it. It was a really neat phone, and it behaved admirably. While the Apps available for Windows phones are few and far between compared to other providers, the phone itself was quite nice. The battery lasted fairly long, the camera was EXCELLENT, and it was extremely easy to use. However, less than six months after I had purchased it, the phone started going downhill.
turns off, can't lock buttons, no apps for Windows phones
26 July 2013
Summary: Buttons can't lock, and the ringer turns off when the volume down button is pressed. I miss calls all the time because it turns off, or turns the ringer off, in my pocket. It's been a year and almost no apps are for Windows phones, their all for iOS or Android operating systems. I wish my contract was over, so I could go back to an iphone.
Summary: I was very excited to receive my new phone after upgrading online but when I turned it on and started using it I began to not like it. I feel the contacts, photos, and app are extremely restricting. I was unsatisfied with the battery life and how nearly all apps I used would either crash or freeze on me. The browser was inconvenient and, I feel, too minimalistic.
