HP iPaq 914c

levinas, CNET
23 December 2009
  • Summary: I usually never have time nor need to review products, but this one is so pissing me of that I specially registered here to let you know of my dealings with IPAQ 914c I use it businesswise +/- 6 months. It's a company's mobile. IMHO this smartphone is really a joke.
  • Pros: keyboard, support of high density SD cards
  • Cons: battery lifetime; no audiojack, audio and charger are sharing the connector , terribly long loading GPS

I wouldn't buy this one!

Grzegorz, Amazon
23 December 2009
  • Summary: I use it businesswise +/- 6 months. It's a company's mobile. IMHO this smartphone is really a joke. The major problems are powerconsumption and battery lifetime, freez of application and not user friendly network management. The battery of this phone cannot handle a day with a wifi on.

Amazing Smartphone

Alexander Cormack, Amazon
24 June 2009
  • Summary: I have had this phone for over two weeks now and i think it is amazing. I haven't had any problems with it and it works extremely well. This is Hp's comeback to the blackberry, and i think it outranks it on every level. I would recommend it to every person who is looking for a good smartphone.

  • Summary: Hi, I have to say that I am a geek and I am changing my phones all the time. But this is the phone does the job - I had blackberry, nokia e71 etc. but for business use this is the ultimate phone. Sync with exchange and oultook works perfectly. The battery last for minimum 3 days (constant use).

  • Summary: Great product. One of the best smartphones/PDA's out there. A complete business tool. However it is let down by poor battery life.

Same old iPaq strength and weaknesses....

A. Hamilton-Wilkes, Amazon
10 December 2008
  • Summary: I am a long time iPaq user (hw6915 previously), so the fact the battery life has not improved is livable. But the poor telephone application and its slow response to user input is very disappointing.

Not so good

eXpansys
8 September 2008
  • Excerpt: I work for Hp and this phone has some faults. On the Vodafone network it uses to much power so the battery runs out of juice just after lunch. The PDA functions are very good but the software is slow to react to your commands. The phone is rubbish.

Business class work tool

eXpansys
8 September 2008
  • Excerpt: I just had mine delivered a few days ago, and can report that it works perfectly with Emansio push mail (pocket outlook plugin enabling real push mail from any email service), and is lighter than for example Diamond Touch.

Very poor battery life

Geoff, Amazon
3 September 2008
  • Summary: This is a great little device - apart from the pathetically poor battery life. It's full of useful features and I was looking forward to using it to keep in touch with the office when I'm on the road, but the battery's down to 10% and the iPAQ's beeping at me after around 4 hours use.
