Garmin Nuvifone G60 (AT&T) Review

LAPTOP Magazine
12 November 2009
  • Summary: The Nuvifone G60 offers a very good navigation experience--and even works well as a phone--but we suspect that won't matter all that much to shoppers. Even though the device's price has dropped to just $99.99 (through Amazon), people willing to pay a little more for a premium smart phone can get a rich app experience, a faster browser, and more features. As a specialized phone, the G60 is worth a look, but you can get a lot more for your money elsewhere.

Garmin nuvifone G60 Review

Phone Arena
16 October 2009
  • Conclusion: It's difficult to recommend the Garmin nuvifone G60 to consumers who  can be offered similar location based services on most phones. If it was released two years ago, it would've made a giant splash in the market with its swift Linux based platform and GPS capabilities. When this handset is touted for its GPS capabilities, it should easily be on the same level as some standalone units.
  • Pros: Responsive screen, High-quality construction, Accurate turn-by-turn directions, Intuitive interface
  • Cons: Poor image quality from camera, Lacking video playback, Poor battery life, No button to get back to the home screen, Long load times for the internet

PC Magazine
25 September 2009
  • Conclusion: The Garmin nuvifone G60 offers superb GPS navigation and decent call quality, but it's a one-trick pony that falls short in nearly every other way.
  • Pros: Stellar GPS navigation. Good call quality and reception.
  • Cons: No video player, video recorder, third-party app support, MMS, or instant messaging. Poor camera. Tinny speaker hobbles voice prompts. Expensive.

Garmin Nuvifone G60 (AT&T)

23 September 2009
  • Summary: The Garmin Nuvifone G60 makes a fine navigator but fails as a smartphone. It's not worth the money.
  • Pros: The Garmin Nuvifone G60 comes preloaded with North American maps and points of interest. The GPS-enabled smartphone is an accurate navigator and delivers decent call quality.
  • Cons: The G60's smartphone capabilities are limited. The accelerometer doesn't work all the time, and the user interface needs some work.

Test Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60

9 December 2009
  • Summary: Zaskakujący, odmienny, nowatorski i świeży.
