Summary: One of the most featured phone in its class at the time of entry. T39 - a triumph of intellect, expressed in a small tri-band mobile phone. It supports GPRS, which provides quick access to the Internet, and technology of Bluetooth, relieves the user from all the inconvenience of cables and wires. Add to this impressive list of features.
Summary: I like that they were great but I have problem with the phone, junk! I listen well to me but no one is listening. either an antenna problem or a microphone! otherwise I'd prefer it if it was all a great phone!
Summary: This is an excellent tri-band world phone packed with lots of features, years ahead of their competition when it was first released. It has lots of talk time and standby time using the factory slim battery, fits discretely into any pocket, and the added Bluetooth functionality over the older T28 series makes this an excellent and handy standby phone that I still use today when I don't need to carry around my Sony-Ericsson P910i handset.
Summary: I bought one of the T39m's sold from Hong Kong around 2007-01-01. I've never owned a so-called real T39m, but I don't see obvious problems with fabrication quality, and it does find the network and have decent reception. There are stories on the web about poor reliability of T28 and T39m when they were originally sold, and also it sounds like Ericsson's repair shop in the old days was thoroughly incompetent, frustrating lots of people.
Excerpt: I just purchased one of these T39's unlocked from a guy on eBay. It was $25 and totally refurbished to look and perform like new. Using it here in Albuquerque NM and it works great ! It is a fantastic phone. Very good RF radio performance. Holds calls like a magnet. Nice sounding audio that is clear and loud enough to hear. The phone is attractive and small. I highly recommend it for international travel. Just pop in an international SIM and hit the world.
Conclusion: Probably the best phone by Ericsson (not Sony Ericsson). The T39 was my second and best Ericsson phone. The T68 came later and could offer a stunning 80x101 pixel colour display compared to the 101x54 pixles for T39
Summary: I have been using an Ericsson T39m phone, which was imported from Sweden for four years without any problem. I like its many features and the strong battery. It is still perfectly functioning. I have recently bought a new one for a family member through eBay, but it did not work properly. I thought I took a defective product by chance, so I bought another one. The second one presented the same problem, that is the phone does not find the network. It is irreparable.
Summary: I got the phone knowing nothing about it, based on price for a 10 day trip to Greece. I got it right away and when I put the SIM in it worked like a champ. Sound and signal great. Only thing I did not like was that when in menu mode, the cancel button does not get out, at least for me. I often had to close the cover to get totally out. Annoying but hardly a deal breaker. I would recomend it as a light weight phone that works well.
