Durable and reliable

  • Excerpt: "I bought my T29 as an upgrade from a T28, as the software on it was very slow. The T29 was a great improvement, and indeed the menus are quicker to access than on my newer T68i! The T29 is a solid phone with an easily understandable menu structure - everything is under sensible headings - and most features are in a logical place. The battery life is very good, particularly for a phone of its vintage, and large extra-capacity batteries are available, ...
  • Pros: A solid, robust good performer
  • Cons: A bit outdated  -  not many modern features

Intellectual mobile phone

danterzi, Ciao
8 April 2004
  • Excerpt: "The main advantage of this model is that there is no problems with the signal accepting. The main design is the same as in T28, but the common appearance is rother massive due to the battery. The total weight of the device is 95 g The device is opening by hands (no button as in T28) suppose that it is due to the big problems and the unreliable work of that button. Nevertheless the phone is easy to open and can be opend only by one hand. The ...

  • Excerpt: In my opinion the T28 wasn't a bad phone, but overall it had quite a few flaws. Initially coming out at around £300, it didn't attract many buyers unitl it came substantially down in price. Once available on contract for next to nothing, it quickly became popular for it's super slim, lightweight design. The T29 follows on from the T28, it's small and lightweight, but has a few new features packed up its sleeves.

  • Excerpt: Having upgraded from a T18s, I was impressed by this phone. I had seen the T28s and was not impressed with it. It seemed like a phone that you could break in half if you held it the wrong way. Far too thin. And what was with that button on the side? Designed for right-handers only? The T29 improves on these. First off, I liked the feel and the weight of the T29. Whilst making it lighter than the T18, it was heavier and thicker than the T28.

  • Summary: This phone (and its sister T28) is the only phone that ever made any sense. No camera, no music, no web (only the derelict WAP), no GPS, only the most rudimentary games. It's very small, gets 5 days on the battery, does telephone, texting, and alarm clock. It has the cool active flip-front that answers when you open it. What else do you really need?. The T29 is slightly better programmed than the T28, and has even more rugged hardware.

Un piccolo cellulare

Lucantore, Ciao
6 August 2005
  • Cons: display e tastiera minuscole
