  • Excerpt: "...now and I fancy a Ericsson T28 Other general points is that the phone's ring was never loud enough and stopped too quickly, I often miss calls when I am scrabbling around in my bag looking for this phone. Its small enough to take clubbing which is useful for cabs afterwards and thats about it really. ...

Ericsson GF 768: Ericsson blues...

whitenet, Dooyoo
24 December 2000
  • Summary: I used a blue 768 for 12 months on a cotract and found it to be a pretty good little phone. If you see past its girly looks then it has several features that stand out. First of all, i like Ericsson's menu system. It is uncluttered and very easy to use. The melody composer was a welcome feature unlike the many strange languages which my friends absolutely loved! very funny! :) The main drawbacks to this phone are that it is old.
  • Pros: good features, choice of colour
  • Cons: bit girly, weak receiver

My opinion

  • Summary: I recieved the ericsson pf768 in november 1999. I love this phone due to its excellent size and style. The phone was a fantastic buy at the time when it was probably the smallest phone on PAYGO. I have become tired of it turning itself off regularly. I have recieved complaints off my friends who use Ericsson phones too about this. Another thing is, if someone calls you and you answer it then you cant retrieve the number of the caller.
  • Pros: size
  • Cons: feature about incoming calls

  • Excerpt: "this phone has a limited appeal. It is for people who have small pockets. Ive had this phone for nearly a year. When I bought it I had the choice of this or the Nokia 5110. My dad has one, and I believe that I made the right choice. Even the term 'mobile phone' shows what Im getting at. This phone came out in (about) 1995 and its still one of the smallest (its almost identical in size to the T10). So if you want a phone that you can actually fit in ...
  • Pros: Small good looking good sound

  • Excerpt: "The moment I saw the phone I said I'll have it. One year later, I am looking for a phone that is a little more reliable, one that doesn't turn itself off every five minutes! I have been told it is just my sim card but my phone has a tendency to turn itself off at random times during the day. I was also fobbed off with the excuse that it was because of the poor reception (despite the having 5 reception bars out of 5). It's looks are stunning, ...

Ericsson GF 768: Is it REALLY that bad?

mrtalent, Dooyoo
19 July 2000
  • Summary: This was the first mobile phone I had, and I have to say I was very pleased with it. Sure, compared to others it's a little behind the times, but it's very sexy, compact, has all the basic functions and IT'S AN ERICSSON! What more do you want? Blood?! I recentley bought the GF768's brother, the PF768. I have to say that both have been the best phones I've ever had, including the Nokia 5110, Siemens S25 and the Motorola Timeport.
  • Pros: Small, Sexy and Easy to Use

  • Excerpt: "A small phone that has a flip containing the MIC. Calls are not answered or ended by the flip. There are buttons beneath the flip for this. 99 names and numbers can be stored, but it is a complicated procedure to access stored numbers. There's four ring tone, seven melodies and an option to compose your own. The phone only displays 10 characters at a time. The screen is so small hardly any telephone number can be displayed. The number and name of ...

  • Summary: Ugly, and certainly NOT for the new generation. Sitting Back lid protects the keyboard. Compact and light. Very sensitive mike. The Earphone with natural The Watch, alarm clock with function of repetition. 10-times automatic reset. Easy onelines display. Supports all facilities of Phase II. Comments Okay the phones small, but the screen has got to be one of the worst seen on a UK mobile for a long time.
  • Pros: small
  • Cons: cannot erase memory
