Summary: Can't comment too seriously, as I bought this for my mother and we have both used it only a little. This phone is suited to an older person who does not want a smart phone. Real keys, nice size, I still think that a fold-phone is the most practical of form factors for a mobile phone.

A real potential life saver - Give Great Peace Mind
16 February 2015
Summary: Brilliant phone, easy for elderly to use. A real potential life saver with the easy to use Alarm button that raises the alarm via a load alarm sound (for people near by to hear) and sending emergency text messages to a prescribed list of contacts. Or you can set it up to call a pre-scribed list of people, using the speaker phone function.
Summary: Bought as present for 82 year old Mum, as upgrade to previous phone, which would only text and call... This one takes photos too! Worked perfectly with existing sim card, Mum got hang of it straight away! Good option to increase text size, plenty of ring tones to choose from!
Doro Phone Easy 612, not a smart phone but a great phone

Summary: 2nd hand, but you would never know! Excelent condition and just what I required in a mobile, uncomplicated to use and very clear to listen to. One minor problem, the battery cover slides of a little too easily (it came off in my pocket) but a little bit of "bluetack" just inside the cover solved that problem.
Summary: If you are fed up with " do-everything " smart phones, then this is a great alternative. It sits easily in the hand and has a reassuring keyboard. It appears to be well -built but the camera is disappointing. Otherwise five stars.
She is finding it easy to use and the settings are clear and intuitive ...

Summary: I bought this for my elderly mother. She is finding it easy to use and the settings are clear and intuitive to use. The buttons are a reasonable size and the screen also very clear. Menu system fairly obvious to me and she is coping well with it. Much easier for her than the little nokia she had before. Set up was entirely straight forward. The charging dock easy and convenient.
Summary: I had high hopes for this phone and I'm afraid it doesn't really live up to them. It's alright but not amazing. I wanted a flip phone as I tend to drop/scratch/break phones easily so wanted something hardy, I've had it several months now and it's still in one piece so it fullfills that need. However it can be frustrating in that fairly basic things can't be done on it.
Summary: simple to use mobile phone with technophope proof directions - kind to fingers when texting unlike my old Nokia which always broke my nails, but found it a little frustrating and slow after using the Nokia for years - but have now learnt to 'go slow'. Predictive text which is handy. The camera is very good -compared to my old Nokia.
