Summary: Bought it for my elderly mother on pay-as-you-go and she seems able to grasp the basic phone. functions, but hasn't quite understood that if you jabber on for hours on it the money runs out. The keys are big enough and it is quite simple to use. It was a little pricey and recently I have seen similar looking phones much cheaper so I don;t know if this was a good buy economically but it seems robust.
Summary: Great phone for the older person. Bought it for my mother in her 80's and it's been great. Simple operation, large numbers on both the keypad and the screen. Perfect for what is was bought for and a good price also.
Summary: Always been disappointed with Doro products. Tried a couple for my poorly sighted mother, both mobile and landline. Both were hopeless. This mobile simply did not work. Returned it. Some time later I got a landline phone off the net that looked just right. Hand't realised it was a Doro. Buttons aren't good for fingers that can't sense well - no good reliable click. And the slightest touch and the handset is off the hook.
Excerpt: used by both my 84 year old dad and husband in his 60s. Both of whom find it easy to use, with a clear screen and large buttons. Texting is easy for both, who are the least tech savvy people you could wish to meet. Dad has the white phone, only because it was cheaper, but thinks it very smart. Unlike some phones designed for older people, it doesn't attract gales of mirth! Even our son, in his early 20s thinks the phone looks great.
Summary: Bought a pair of these phones for my mum & dad as presents for them. They are over the moon with them and have found the phone very easy to operate and can make and receive calls just like they do on the cordless house phone. The buttons are very well placed and the battery life is great. Nearly three weeks worth of use before it was asking to be charged. Call clarity is very good and clear as along with the large selection of ringtones which do actually ring out loud!
Summary: Ordered and arrived very quickly, if you want a phone that texts and makes calls this is the phone to have simply put in your sim and away you go. Unfortunately was bought as a Christmas present but the service provider sim did not allow use of the voicemail system so it had to be sent back, received a full refund and company were very helpful.
Summary: My Mum never thought she would enter the world of the mobile phone. A technophobe to the core. She happily uses this phone and is very proud of herself, texting and everything! The alarm function is great too. If she ever needs my help she can hold the button on the back and I get a call and a text telling me to contact her. I'd highly recommend this phone. We've had it a year and it is working as well as the day we opened it and has given us peace of mind.
Summary: bought for my 84 year old dad. He finds the buttons easy to use, the screen easy to see and loves the ability to turn up the volume whilst talking. I bought the white one, only because it was cheaper than the black and he actually prefers it. "very smart" he says. My husband already has one of these, because locating and putting on his specs every time he wanted to use the phone was irritating. He loves his too.
