Signal fluctuation issues
3 January 2014
Summary: This is a solid build phone but in my experience has a major issue with signal reception which fluctuates continuously and is quite weak especially indoors. The signal indicator flips from 3G, to EDGE, to no signal, while a nearby Samsung mobile phone shows a consistent and good signal. This not because of the "death grip", it does not matter how you hold the phone. I made some search in Google and it seems other people have the same issue with this phone.
fast, smooth, easy to use... Dell's version of the iphone
26 July 2012
Summary: Been using the DVP for about a month. Pros: - qwerty physical keyboard - nice vibrant screen - "tiles" on the OS are cool - fast transitions from apps, etc due to 1ghz processor Cons: - lack of updates - camera - not fully customizable with 3rd party apps like previous windows versions Overall: awesome, fast phone
Summary: This phone is all about the looks. It appears to be a great phone and windows 7 mobile appears to be a nice OS. The main problem arises when you try to connect it to your local network (not AT&T nor TMobile); although the phone clearly states that its unlocked and its in that category, it is NOT unlocked. Of couse trying to get this problem fixed by Dell or AT&T is a waste of time...
Summary: For years I've suffered with a "dumb" phone on my pay-as-you-go T-Mobile account, because I only use my phone for travel/coordination circumstances and I have been able to limit my usage to 1000 minutes a year (yes, a year). T-Mobile has only had mediocre phones available on their no-contract plans. I am quite familiar with ios 4 and 5 because I have an iPod 4g, which works great over wi-fi with Skype.
Very good phone with a big screen and Android 2.2.

Summary: I bought this product because of the screen size, it was unlocked, and it had Android. This is my first experience owning a touch and Android device. I don't like that the latest update of Android is 2.2. I wish I could updaten it to a newer version.
Summary: Q: Why did I buy this product? A: My Mytouch Slide 3g broke and I wanted another phone. Q: What do you like and dislike about this product? A: I'm actually a huge fan of the size. People notice it and comment on how big it is, but it makes the touchscreen keyboard a lot more usable for me. It is the perfect hybrid of tablet and phone. Not a fan that it is only unlocked to ATT's 3G network, but I can live with it.
Summary: one of the best phones available on today's market. if you are getting tired of those iPhone series and those blackberries, why don't give Dell Streak a try? it's probably one of the phones that has the biggest screen ever right now. it's also loaded with tons of features that you can't live without them.
Pros: The Dell Venue Pro is stunningly handsome. Everything from the slide-out keyboard to the back panel work together to give the appearance of a high-end device. The sliding function of the phone is sturdy and the display quality is sharp.
Cons: Speaker volume easily overcome in the noisy spaces. The headset is an absolute afterthought however, that's industry standard. The area where the headset plugs into the phone is sloped and many headsets will not seat properly.
