Software Problems

Mike, Phone Arena
21 May 2011
  • Excerpt: So aside from most of the other issues I have read here I have a couple more. Everyonce in a while my main screen will go black and will not come back on for quite some time. Sometimes leaving it plugged in will bring it back. Sometimes taking the battery out and restarting it works. There are many different things I've tried that occasionally work, but it's different everytime. Now my other problem is with the alarm clock.
  • Pros: Great durable phone.
  • Cons: Too slow., Software Problems, Hard to find accessories.

Casio g'zone Rock

Cam, Phone Arena
22 July 2010
  • Excerpt: Quick backround: I used to have the G zone Boulder, that got runined and I was given a "equilivent" phone from verizon because they didn't make the boulder anymore. Well it wasn't quite the same. Anyway, I finally got the Rock because I work at a pool and knew i would use the water resistant feature often. I dropped it in 3 feet of water for twenty seconds and it stopped working.
  • Pros: "dust" proof, rugged, can handle several drops
  • Cons: NOT waterproof.

Casio G'zOne Rock has issues

RCMCH, Phone Arena
13 July 2010
  • Excerpt: I have had this phone for about a month and like the G'zOne Gear features.  However, I have several issues with the phone which are likely Verizon issues more than Casio issues but should be addressed. I am a very frequent user of the calendar alert feature to remember almost everything (yeah, age issues).  Unfortunately, the alert feature does not function the way my previous phones (most recent LG VX 4650 for 6 years) operated and cause me to miss reminders.
  • Pros: G'zOne Gear
  • Cons: Calendar Alerts

Great phone, Terrible charger

RonB, Phone Arena
24 June 2010
  • Excerpt: I've had this phone for about a month.  It seems well built and works well except for some occasional delays in starting up when opening.  I'm not sure what the designers were thinking about when they designed the charger or if they were thinking at all.  It is terrible.  It worked fine the first time but rapidly went bad to the point of not working at all by week three.
  • Pros: Seems very rugged
  • Cons: Charger quickly becomes unusable!

My opinion of the G'Zone Rock

Scott Bennett, Phone Arena
10 December 2009
  • Excerpt: I work on the Cape Fear river in North Carolina and the features and durability of this phone were appealing to me. I really like how the lower part of each number key is slightly raised. This makes dialing or texting much easier with my fat fingers.I like the way this phone looks and so far ,so  good!
  • Pros: nice size nice keyboard Ilike how the OK button is slightly raised loud speakers

Critical Flaw Makes Phone Less that Desirable

boilerup2345435, Phone Arena
4 December 2009
  • Excerpt: I got this phone about 4 days ago, and I initially really liked it. Some people say it is a beast and unsightly, but I personally think it looks fine. It has a nice LCD and is very functional. The G'Z gear is also a cool feature not found on any other phones. I picked this phone because I don't like many of the text messaging machines that are out there nowdays, and I prefer the traditional clam shell type of phone.
  • Pros: Nice GUI, durable, GZ Gear
  • Cons: Problems transmitting voice, slow processor (menus / texting is unbearably slow)
