  • Excerpt: i had alltel a while back and it  me drove crazy, i mean the cell phone was great and it had a lot of features, but the signal was crazy, when i am in town the cell phone works great i have no dropped calls, no unreceived messages or pendning messages when i am texting, but as soon as i am out of the alltel network area it's mpossible to get signal, send a text message or basically do anything else but stare at the cell phone.

I would never purchase the Boulder phone again!

  • Excerpt: I got this phone about a year ago and it is horrible.  No one is able to hear me when I talk because they say it sounds muffled.  Even the ring tones that I paid for sound horrible.  The ring tone is too loud therefore the sound is horrible.  This is the first time I purchased a Casio brand phone and I will never buy one again.  I usually buy Nokia's but decided to go out of my comfort zone and buy something new.  Bad Idea.

do not purchase see review

teknologysux, Ebay
7 July 2012
  • Summary: The phone does not store many pictures (maybe about 35 or so) so an SD card will be needed with the phone. It does not have the best service and calls and texts will not always go through. The camera is horrible and pictures come out very distant or blurry. The phone's, which should be "indestructible", inside screen shattered when dropped no more than 3 feet when the phone was closed. Phone makes a click noise every time it is opened and closed.

1allenrice, Ebay
1 December 2011
  • Summary: Well I would like to point out a few facts about all of casio's problems. After doing a lot of research before I bought my Rock and several friends who had a casio rock. My conclusion and experence seams about average the Rock had many many problems as did mine. So I continued with hope and purchased a Brigade I loved the idea of these phones. So Ask your self Why do you think the rock was replaced so fast by casio with the Ravine?

18 April 2011
  • Pros: It is rugged otherwise and the Gz gear is a nice addition when camping.
  • Cons: Can't charge not even in the car, and the cradle does not work properly as well.

"Company has 49 of these phones Have replaced 10 of them"

stanhome1, CNET
10 March 2011
  • Pros: It is a great durable phone. easy to navigate and some awsome downloads for work like FFM and great PTT.
  • Cons: The external speaker going out is a problem that neither Verizon or Casio acknowledge. It's obvious when all phones that I have had replaced had the same exact issue.

"Rugged but Slow"

grg1486, CNET
7 November 2010
  • Pros: Takes a beating and i like the camera flash, it makes a convenient flashlight.
  • Cons: The software is very slow and it likes to shut down randomly. Not happy with the T9 word option on phone as it does not learn new words like old phone did. The zoom on the camera is not easy to use.

"Looks good.........BlueTooth Problem"

AcornFarmer, CNET
6 June 2010
  • Pros: Heavy Duty Phone, good visibility on screen. Good sound quality on my end.
  • Cons: Fair connection quality, BUT when I use a Parrot bluetooth car connection kit, it constantly turns the phone on and off for no reason. I am on the 2nd phone and it is no different from the first. Over 2 months of frustration and no help from Verizon.
