Newer isn't better. This phone can't compare at all to the Boulder!

Summary: I had this phone a total of 3 days before I took it back. I went from a Casio Boulder to this one and was terribly dissapointed! The people that I talked to on it said it sounded like i was talking through a pillow. Also the battery on a full charge only lasted a little over half a day with little talking or texting. On the third day after the 7th dropped call and not even being able to call out I grabbed my old phone and reactivated it.
Returned within two hours because it is much too loud.

Summary: Don't bother. If you don't want a Smart phone, buy a cheaper one for a fraction of the price and expect to replace it in 6 months. You'll still come out ahead, and you won't be partially deafened. Also: you'll be charged a $35 restocking fee, so it's worth asking to use one of the demos under actual conditions (NOT in the loud Verizon store) to make sure it sounds okay to you.
Pros: Supposedly reasonably sturdy, though it felt like cheap plastic.
Cons: phone power cycles on its own, The screen stays black when you open the phone . On my second Ravine 2 now and it power cycled the first day I turned it on and continuesto todo it Had brigade phone and got 3 of them from verizon that did thesamething
