Excerpt: I purchased this mobile back in 2000 - my first mobile phone! It was simple to get used to and has a very clear screen which is well illuminated. You are not overwhelmed with a variety of functions on offer today (for example internet, email and picture messaging). It is a 'bog-standard' mobile, OK for your usual telephone calls and text messages.
Excerpt: I first got this mobile in December 2000, it cost me just £30. It is excellent for someone who has never had a mobile before or doesn't want to spend alot of money, itis however rather basic. It has 27 ringtones, that's all well and good if you can actually hear them, when in a crowed place not once could I hear my mobile ring. There is also no vibrating alert.
Excerpt: The BOSCH 509e is one of my favourite brands in mobile phones. It has alot of features to include sms text messaging, cool graphics when you recieve incoming calls, call barring system (without having to phone up the network that you are on and getting their permission),Information menu (that you can subscribe to) and a choice of 32 ringtones that are really cool.
Excerpt: I purchased the Bosch from Argos a couple of years ago. I wanted non-contract and cheap, and it does exactly that; The phone doesn't have downloadable ringtones or logos or interchangable fascias, but I've dropped it all over the country and, as you'd hope from a Bosch product, it carries on working. After a while I was disappointed in the standyby time it was giving me, but £10 for a new battery and I'm as happy as ever.
Excerpt: Hi, my name is Liam and this is my first opinion I have ever written on Ciao, so please be generous in ratings. Thank you. For my first opinion I have decided to write about the 509e mobile phone. Please bear in mind that I am not a mobile phone expert and so I don’t know exactly what all the gadgets are called, thank you, and enjoy the read.
Excerpt: After a very embarassing incident with my old phone ( a phillips savvy), and a toilet that was inviting the forementioned to go for a swim, I was forced to get a new phone. No problem I thought naively I'll buy a better one, I have a better paid job, and can now afford to get a siemens c25 (or something like that) that I really like the look of. Fantastic. Then an extremely kind brother of mine decided to lend me his spare phone (?
Pros: It's bright orange, and yeah that's about it . Also it withstands being thrown on the floor and kicked quite alot too .
Excerpt: I am no mobile expert and I just wanted a functional phone that would do the job. I chose the Bosch 509e because it was cheap, on the Orange p-a-y-g network which I wanted, and I liked the looks. Also because I looked at the feature list for other phones costing up to three times as much as couldn't see anything major they offered that the Bosch didn't- having seen friends phones, I still can't. I have to say I've been very happy with it. It's simplicity itself to use.
Pros: Cheap, robust, simple to use, well - spaced keys, lights up ! , 27 ringtones, calculator function
Cons: No vibrating or predictive text, a little large, battery life only average, power indicator misleading, messages easy to delete
Excerpt: I bought this phone as it was the cheapest one on the market, and Orange works well where I live. I also wanted to take advantage of the pay as you go system-less worries if you lose the fone - but it became a bit of a brick once i started using it more- it works fine with text but after 6 months of use it started to play up on voice calls-cutting out and such like. I also has a very short battery life-I have to charge it every day.
Pros: cheap - free text messages with 'out here' - good reception - easy to use
Cons: Its a brick - unreliable if used alot, short battery life
Excerpt: I was "lucky" enough to grab one of the first samples of these that we received at Orange and tested it out for a few weeks, for obvious reasons it really grabs your attention at first glance but once you actually get used to the novelty of the colour (I had the translucent Orange) it starts to get a bit embarrassing and I found myself just busying calls if I got any whilst I was in public because to the uninitiated it probably looked like I was playing with a toy phone...
Excerpt: I've had the Bosch 509e phone since my birthday which was...erm...last march. Or was it the year before? I can't remember which, but I haven't regretted getting it for a minute, even now that you could say it's out of fashion(i.e. not a nokia)! I opted for the white cover(it looks a lot cooler than the orange) so that it'd collaborate with my fave footy teams colours, because unfortunately I don't think you can get any clip on covers for it.
Pros: looks cool, has some funky(if embarrassing) tunes, easy interface if you read the instructions
