Summary: I would give this phone 5 stars but I cannot get 4G. I purchased the 5.3s last year and I broke the screen. for the record.. best phone I ever owned. So I ordered, what I thought was the exact model and I recieved this model PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the fine print because there are two 5.3s models, one gets 4G and this one doesn't!!!!! I didnt not catch it until my return warranty expired so I'm stuck with this slow phone.
I used to think it was great but now I hate this phone

Summary: I did research on this phone for weeks and didn't realize until now this phone is only capable of 3G maximum. The even worst part about it is it can only get 3G on AT&T. I have T-Mobile which means I get 2G speeds and nothing more. I've tried all the APN settings and all the trick about the phone. The phone is fast and works great but not being able to go past 2G makes this phone a brick outside of a WiFi connection. I want to get rid of this phone so bad.
Summary: Let me first say that I'm not trying to give BLU a bad name, nor am I trying to pitch any other brand despite my last comment on this thread, but frankly I have to be honest. So, please excuse me if none of my comments are "constructive". I have owned various makes: iphone, kyocera, htc, lg, and more recently blu. I purchased the BLU Studio 5.3S because it was being sold/produced by a company based in the USA, and presumably "Made in..." too.
Summary: DO NOT buy this phone! I looked at all the reviews before I got it and I skipped over the bad ones not wanting to listen to them, listen to them. It is a cheap phone money wise and it is cheap phone all together. My volume button is broken and it freezes all the time. I find myself turning it on and off again about 3 times a day just to get it to work. Its plastic and its HUGE.
Summary: Terrible quality. Phone lasted 2 months or less. It worked fine but then the touch screen would not respond for no reason, it never fell, never got wet, never even got a scratch on it ... It just stopped working, took the battery out and put it back on and nothing, I waited and waited. Then I tried pressing the screen just a little harder to see if it would work and thE screen cracked! I cell phones for a living (at&t) and could not believe how poor the quality was ....
Summary: I ordered this phone because mine broke, Starting from the top..... the phone had extreme lag, it restarted at minimum 10 times a day, it never got to 3g. simple things like accessing the internet was difficult and slow unless I was on wifi. If I was in a wifi area and left it the phone would stop working. After downloading apps the phone who delete them and make me down loan them again. Over all the phone did not work.
Summary: After trying out this phone for three months now I have to change my reviews on it. This phone has a very low ringer and speaker and I sometimes miss my calls or messages due to the very low volume. The case that is included fits well but the power button is very hard to push to turn on or off the phone. The phone now does not work, it died on me today and the manufacture does not honor the warranty on their own product. I would never recommend this phone.
