Blu Life One X Review: the brightest Blu phone yet

MobileBurn
19 March 2014
  • Conclusion: The time for midrange devices will fade in a few years as users begin diverting their interests to ultra cheap handsets or the top of the line high-end smartphones. However, devices like the Blu Life One X remain an attractive option in the middle ground today. It's above average when it comes to the camera, the shape and feel are desirable, has unique Dual SIM capabilities, and the battery life is solid enough to make this a phone that you can rely on.

Blu Life Play (Unlocked)

PC Magazine
29 November 2013
  • Conclusion: At $229, the Blu Life Play is a good unlocked Android smartphone for people who want an affordable device with a large screen, as long as they can give up LTE.
  • Pros: Bright, playful design. Incredibly light. Two SIM slots. High-resolution display. Almost stock Android.
  • Cons: No LTE. Low internal storage. Graphically intense games stutter. Mediocre call quality. Poor camera.

An unlocked and sexy Android device

CNET
21 November 2013
  • Summary: The unlocked $229 Blu Life Play offers Android Jelly Bean on the cheap, but getting the more expensive $299 LG Nexus 4 would be a wiser decision.
  • Pros: Blu Products' Life Play is very affordable for an unlocked smartphone. It also features an attractively thin design, a big screen, Android Jelly Bean, and a powerful camera.
  • Cons: The Life Play runs a slow processor and has just 4GB of internal storage. It isn’t compatible with some wired phone headsets and lacks 4G LTE support.
