Excerpt: A blackberry with a touchscreen seemed like it would be a good idea but it doesnt really pan out well in this model from Blackberry. It has the touchscreen capability and it has a slide out keyboard for typing, the keyboard however is too small and when trying to type it causes you to mistype alot because your fingers hit the wrong keys.
Excerpt: 3 weeks ago I got a Blackberry Torch from ATT because I had an upgrade. I was so excited to get this phone, but after one week I was ready to smash it. The phone itself is visually nice and appealing. I had the red version and it was great. However, I didn't even drop it and later that night I noticed a chip of paint off the side. The screen was great but the picture light was way too bright and did not adjust itself. Everyone's faces look like ghosts in the pictures.
Excerpt: I recently purchased a Blackberry Torch. I thought it would be the answer to my prayers! It isn't. Every day I want to toss the thing out the window. I purchased this product at a Verizon outlet. They have classes for us newbies every few weeks. I have attended two of them. I'm still confused. All I want to do is make a phone call. HELP! I really hate this phone. I'm told I love it once I get used to it....when will that be?
Pros: Bigger screen, OS 6 is easier to read; access to menus and navigation easier, universal search
Cons: Touch screen keyboard not responsive; too many crashes with normal use; freezes and battery life, disappearing favorites, no control on what screen actual shows as the start screen, connections manager and all apps seems to act on their own/are to sensiti
Pros: The infrared sensor is lot easier to use than the roller ball
Cons: Where do I start. It turns itself off, when you get a text it doesn't go to that text, it deletes clients with you knowing it, the sync has really messed up my data base - I have some people 2 and 3 times in my phone, calculator is worthless.
Pros: Blackberry continues to lead in business use phones - it handles email better than any of the other devices on the market.
Cons: I think they rushed the touchscreen to the market. It is quirky - often non-responsive, and not very intuitive. I wrestle with it quite a bit to get the keyboard out of my way, or to come back when I want it, or to go to speakerphone, or to get the dial
Pros: Takes great pics, much faster than other other BB phones
Cons: Hangs up A LOT. The easy accessibility of settings via the touchscreen, makes accidental setting changes common. I understand the phone and the OS, but commonly turn various things on or off by accident. Taking pictures is tricky, especially action shots.
Cons: Touch screen was a joke. Speaker went on while holding it to the ear, contacts disappeared at random, calls mute at random, calls put on hold at random, battery life not what advertised, number pad would "press" buttons, etc.
