Summary: This phone is probably the worst BB smartphone. It is difficult to type since the tactile screen requires that it be pushed to "click" so writing emails and messages on it is very slow and tedious. The screen finally ended being damaged as a part of it stopped working altogether.
Summary: This phone really isn't what its hyped up to be. This phone really likes to freeze on you, or the touchscreen gets all messed up calibration wise. When it recovers from a freeze the calibration is all messed up, when i want to check my SMS (which is one of the little tabs at the bottom of the screen) it pushes the time button on top of the screen. And the touchscreen full keyboard txtin is pretty difficult, always hit a wrong letter when i txt.
Excerpt: After having this phone for one year I'd have to say it is the worst. Slow connections. 80% of the time you have to click a button twice to three times to get it to respond.Browser is the worst, just use Opera. Much easier to use then BB browser.Battery pulls are constant thing you have to do.Software Version 5.0 update screwed up more than it cured. Had to reload older version to get it all working again.Leaving this phone this month for the new Nokia N900.
Summary: "Have had the phone just over 12 months. Was delighted with it until last week when I lost the ability to recieve and send emails from the phone. Made no diference with a new sim card. re sent the service books. resubscribed to the email addresses and still no improvement. Vodafone customer services could not fix it, so it has to be sent back. How annoying!! Also lost the icon for Blackberry apps world.
Excerpt: I gave this a try for the 30 days and returned it on the last day possible as I could not get used to it. It was my 4th Blackberry in about 8 years as I use them so much they give out. Screen quality is good but the typing aspect of it for business users is too hard to get used to. It really slows down your productivity and good luck trying to correct a mistake within an email. Previous comments were correct about the camera - it takes forever.
Pros: apps over other Blackberrys, screen quality
Cons: screen input is impossible to get used to, sound quality on speaking and hearing, camera is only good for complete still shots
Summary: I bought this device because my husband researched and found this to meet his needs. he wanted me to pilot test it first. I bet if he had bought it for himself without having me use it, he would have liked it fine. I loved the email. I could never get the keyboard typing to work well. the finger pad touch, then depress the glass was too cumbersome compared to the fingernail click I am used to.
Summary: This phone is very hard to use, and it's hard to text. It's quite bulky and unattractive. I gave mine away to my uncle and got a Blackberry Curve 8520, which is a LOT better, and easier to use. I would not advise to get this phone as you can get one twice as good, at half the cost.
