Summary: This phone is probably the worst BB smartphone. It is difficult to type since the tactile screen requires that it be pushed to "click" so writing emails and messages on it is very slow and tedious. The screen finally ended being damaged as a part of it stopped working altogether.
Summary: The Surepress screen is definitly an acquired taste. I thought it wouldn't bother me much, and I do enjoy it when it comes to the menu screens, as it limits errors in making incorrect selections.
Pros: If you do some research you can get blackberry OS5 (22.214.171.1241) firmware running on the 9500.With the OS5 firmware installed, the Storm 9500 is a great phone, smooth, responsive, intuitive and dependable. Still not in any way comparable to an iPhone or Android based phone, but if you are looking f...
Cons: Buyer beware - This phone shipped to me with a dead battery which would not take\hold a charge. I could not power up the phone, even when plugged into an outlet. Fortunately i had another battery available to me from one of my other Blackberrys, because i did not want to pay to ship the phone (wi...
Summary: This phone really isn't what its hyped up to be. This phone really likes to freeze on you, or the touchscreen gets all messed up calibration wise. When it recovers from a freeze the calibration is all messed up, when i want to check my SMS (which is one of the little tabs at the bottom of the...
Excerpt: After having this phone for one year I'd have to say it is the worst. Slow connections. 80% of the time you have to click a button twice to three times to get it to respond.Browser is the worst, just use Opera.
Summary: "Have had the phone just over 12 months. Was delighted with it until last week when I lost the ability to recieve and send emails from the phone. Made no diference with a new sim card. re sent the service books. resubscribed to the email addresses and still no improvement.
Excerpt: I gave this a try for the 30 days and returned it on the last day possible as I could not get used to it. It was my 4th Blackberry in about 8 years as I use them so much they give out. Screen quality is good but the typing aspect of it for business users is too hard to get used to.
Pros: apps over other Blackberrys, screen quality
Cons: screen input is impossible to get used to, sound quality on speaking and hearing, camera is only good for complete still shots
Blackberry tried but didn't try hard enough - it simply wasn't up to the mark.

Excerpt: The Blackberry Storm what can I say - apart from an overcomplicated disappointment... I first came across the Strom when Vodafone very kindly gave me the Blackberry Storm 9500 at a reduced price (now there is no wonder why it was reduced) as part of a 24 month contract deal; at first I was excited...
